The Intellivision is high on the list of systems I still need to acquire. But I'm wondering which one I should go for? I've been told version 3 is the best. Is this true? Or is the much more common version 1 good enough? Help me out here, folks.

I've only tried version 1 & 2, so among those I voted for version 1. The main reason being the keypads on the controllers. On version 1 they were raised and gave a tactile response when pushed, but on version 2 they are flat and it's hard to tell when you've pushed the buttons.

Also version 2 has some compatibility issues with Coleco games.

Version 3... nothing like the look of sleek black and brushed aluminum!

I have version 1 and 2...and i like the second one better...still, i have never had a problem with either one of them

My favorite is the Sears Super Video Arcade version with the detachable controllers, since you can use Genesis extension cables with it. It is by far the ugliest one, though. Of the 3 choices, I like the INTV System III the best.

I've gotta go with the origional version. Sure, it overheats alot... but its the first one that I owned. 8-)

I'll second that. Add it to the poll, dammit! :P
