Well, Four years ago, i Think That i passed up on a Boxed NES Deluxe set for $20. I didn't own anything Videogame-related back then, and had no idea what a NES R.O.B was for.
Now let's hear what you passed on before you started collecting.

A few years back some friends of mine were cleaning out their garage. We we going to a bonfire party, and they decided to burn a bunch of the stuff. A lot of it was NES and SNES boxes and books.
I snagged their Final Fantasy II box and book, and their Zeldas (I already had those, but I couldn't bear to see them burn), but I kick myself to this day over the stuff that did get burnt.
Can you imagine watching things like Ninja Gaiden and Mega Man boxes burn? Or worst of all, the Final Fantasy III and Chrono Trigger sets!

Well obviously, much like everyone else, I regret not buying things like the Virtual Boy and a top loader when they were on clearance. I have one now though so it's all good. In the late 90's TRU was clearing out Game Gear units (Majesco ones I assume) for like $25 and games for 5-10 bucks each. I don't have a working Game Gear at the moment, so if I could go back I would go ahead and snag one of those up too.
There is a locally owned game store in my home town that I used to shop at sometimes. Most of their prices were in-line with eBay though so I didn't buy much. They did however have a stack of sealed 32X units and a stack of sealed Atari Jaguar units. This was maybe in 1999. All were $25 each. I ended up buying a Jaguar just for kicks, but didn't buy a 32X. I was a small-time collector then, nothing like now. Knowing what I know now, I would have bought a few of each. Incidentally, I ended up trading that Jaguar to a fellow DPer for a boxed complete TG16, so I feel like I did well.
Ultimately, I just wish I could turn back the clock a few years and spend more time going to thrifts and flea markets before the dawn of eBay and the mainstreaming of classic gaming.

Back when it was new, I passed on a total of three copies of Rez for the PS2. I already had the Dreamcast version and didn't yet own a PS2 console... Ugh, kicking myself for not picking those up. I remember even picking one of them up and carrying it around the store for a while before putting it back on the shelf. Price shot up on the game just a couple weeks after that, and when I went back they were gone.
About two months later, I hit a Toys R Us and found a big pile of DDR Disney Mix for $30 a piece... didn't make the same mistake, and grabbed those.
Another regret, from nearly ten years ago: found two copies of Chrono Trigger at a pawn shop, one loose for $10 and another complete for $20. What'd I do? Bought the loose one. Ugh. If I was smart, I'd have bought them both.

I've passed up lots of stuff that I regret. Panzer Dragoon Saga when it was clearenced out at like 14.99 or something at TRU, and when they use to have suikoden 1 & 2 for like 9.99 each in the kb toys bargain bin, i kept saying "oh ill wait till its a little cheaper and buy it next time i see it". around 99, my friend was sellin off his stuff and offered me a complete mario rpg for 5 bux, i passed on that. im sure there is other stuff, but ive been trying to erase all this stuff from my mind.
