Well last week I had found some boxed genesis games, a broken snes and stuff, and there were lots of things I decided not to pick up at the thrift shop, including a 2600 version of donkey kong. I don't even have a 2600 right...

Today I find a Coleco Gemini at the thrift store and not a single 2600 game in sight.

I gotta find an ac and rf adapter for this thing. Good thing I bought a boxed copy of joust 4 years ago.

Got 6 packages today. Four of them were from fellow DPers. These packages included:

http://www.pezchasers.net/pics/DP/8-152.jpg

The NES games in the bottom picture are PAL and include the game Crackout (which was never released in the US). The two impossible to make out GB games are Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back and Raging Fighter.

I spent around $100 (buying and shipping for trades) for all of this but am very happy (especially with all the boxed NES goodness).

Well, I did my last real hunting for the summer today. I may be able to make a quick stop here or there before I leave for school, but who knows. I didn't find anything spectacular, but for about $15, I got some pretty snazzy stuff:

Scuzzy thrift store:

NES - Super Off Road (yay!)
NES - Where's Waldo?
Genesis - Wheel of Fortune
Genesis - Jeopardy
Genesis - Bubba 'n' Stix (Bubblicious game? What the hell? O_o )

... $1.49 each. Quite a big hassle too since they were having a half off sale and the place was LOADED with Mexicans and their tons of crazy kids running around. The line was huge, the games were all behind the counter, and it was difficult having the lady, who probably barely knew English, get them for me. And for games kept behind the counter, they sure are filthy. Oh well. O_o They did have some more notable games there like Super Mario Bros. 2 and 3 and TMNT, but I have all those commons.

At the Goodwill:

NES - Bases Loaded 2 - 1.49
N64 Flying Cap Mario plushie - 0.49
Official Game Boy carrying case - 0.99 (yet another one, but this one doesn't have all the different pockets like the one I got a week ago or so)
Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask promo VHS tape - 1.99 (I know, kinda expensive, but I didn't even know this one existed)
Ultraman vs. Kamen Rider Japanese VHS movie - 1.99 (not video game related, but SO BAD ASS. My boyfriend will get a kick out of this when he sees it.)

I got these from a forum member today:

Before you get too excited... they're only the boxes/manals etc... No carts in them.
I needed these three as I am trying to get a CIB Virtual Boy collection. Only 2 more to go.
On that note; Anybody got a spare Nester's Funky Bowling and/or Galactic Pinball box(es)?

Got some good deals on assorted consoles today at the between local shops and Savers:

NES w/2 controllers, no power supply - $10.
Atari 2600 Darth Vader, console only and paddles - $5.
Colecovision, no power supply - $5.

I've got spares of everything to make these complete systems, and I'll probably just use them for trade of Ebay. Good finds, though, as the console finds have locally been very dry as of late.

http://assembler.roarvgm.com/Sharp_Nintendo_Television/sharp_nintendo_television.html

$125...not sure if it's a good price or not, never seen one before, that alone told me it was worth having for my Game Room...

It needs cleaning and a new 72 pin connection, but otheerwise is in good, not mint shae. Does not have that nice clean finish of a new piece of electronics. Controllers are perfect though, and original. Has a remote which is in good shape, battery cover is a little loose....

Where to put it...

Well, no games this week so far (not in the wild, anyway ... the amount of stuff I've farmed from eBay this week though is quite another matter!!)

But, in the Salvation Army shop I did pick me up a Philips phone / fax / answer machine for a tenner. And it came with two boxes of ink rolls too (which retail for £40 apiece, according to the re-order form tha came with the machine docs!)

It was missing a cable, but I dug through my bag of loose cables at home and found exactly the right one. Set it up, and it all works fine :D

No more heading to the post office when I need to send a fax!

A local game store had it for sale. He was selling it for a friend who owned a video rental store and had it sitting around for forever. They thought it was not working put it's just the same blinking that affects the toaster. I cleaned it, it works OK but still needs a new connector.

One of the most aggrivating trips of all time. Some fucking woman came up to my car as I was leaving a thrift and accused me of doing something....she was hispanic and I couldn't really understand her, but she threatened to call the cops and I just rolled up the window and left. Fucking crazy woman. Oh well.....at least I got something for this royaly pissed off trip:

Genesis - Devilish (complete) - free
Genesis - Scooby Doo Mystery (complete) - 4
Genesis - Streets of Rage 3 (complete, mint) - 6

About $19 bucks from Gamestop after Employee discount.

The controller is in excellent condition, as is the system.

I just picked up a SharpNES...

(How many NES systems are too many? this is my fifth...)

HAHAH,the original owners left the nintendo in the bottom !

I picked up today a box with a loose sega master system and a atari 2600 with some games for $10. It was quite dirty, but I was wanting an atari so I got it all.

I also picked up a snes with some games for $20. The lady was wanting $30. I'd been wanting one of these.

I really need to work on my sales skills. I need to try on talking these people down more.

Now if I could just find a Sega Saturn. The only one I've found is at local store called mcvans. They want $60 for just the console.

Something very offensive to me. I was really, really fucking pissed off that she said I "touched her child". Not only did she just randomly come up to my car and start accusing me of this, then she threatened to write down my info and call the cops. Perhaps she was working with someone to get me out of my car pissed off so they could jack my car or something....Oh well, no cops for the night, and I'm sure there's 5 minutes of video of me looking at electronics then leaving.

Looks like she was up to something or chances are, she mistaken you for someone else. Yet that is some really sick crap for the lady to accuse you of something like that.

Not a big find but found a couple of PS1 puzzlers at E.B. Games for a total of $6:

Puzzle: Star Sweep
Cleopatra's Fortune

Both are complete and minty. One of the few decent things at EB in the last few weeks.

Agreed. The most I think about it makes me think she was up to something. Oh well, glad I got the hell out of there. Hopefully I'll have a much nicer hunting time tomorrow morning ;D.

Weird find.

A SMS, $20 at a Goodwill. Has the system, two controllers, RF, and the power.

But see, all the parts were still sealed, along with the console, and the console and controllers still had the original PEEL off protection stickers.

Oh yes, this SMS is brand new. But then, what happened to the box.
