Looking for a DECENT free downloadable sudoku program.
Boxerjam has "wasabi" which is setup perfectly, but it's online only, one puzzle a day, and it's boxerjam.
The only ones I've found have limitations such as only 4 "maybes" in a square, no pre-loaded puzzles, etc...

The game is like, negatively popular in america. I doubt I would be able to find a book of them even at a book store :(
I'll just keep doing the daily ones online and printing them.

Awesome! We have a local free weekly that started putting these in, 2 per issue. I must admit, I suck at them, and I swear on Jesus' bathrobe that they've fucked some of them up somehow, but they're more fun than a lame-ass crossword.

Well, if anyone wants one of the best logic puzzles of all time in "still don't have to pay for it" mode. I uploaded sherlock to my website:

It runs in dos mode, but works in windows xp perfectly fine.

Actually they seem to be everywhere in book stores now. I just bought a beginner's book after seeing it in Barnes and Noble. Pretty fun.

Yep. I saw one the other day at a local-owned bookstore and though "hmm." I actually thought about PM'ing you Sylentwulf and telling you about it, but I forgot about it. I was in Barnes & Noble tonight and right near the front door there's a table full of at least 2 dozen different Sudoku books now. You shouldn't have any trouble finding a bunch of different ones. I think the New York Times is even in on it now, and there was one with some scary Ann Coulter-looking woman on it with some horseshit title like "Master of Sudoku." Anyway, the drought is over, needless to say.

Was looking for computer based, can't stand doing them in those tiny little books. I actually have something else to feed my obsession now though :) Sudoku has gotten easy.

Oh? What is it? I am always looking for a challenge. :-P (if it was the link posted above, it didn't work...)

Sherlock by Everret Kaser software. It's only the second sharware I've ever actually purchased.

Been playing there. Just picked up on this game a few days ago, and it takes me about 40 mins to beat hard level. I can beat the easy ones in 7-8 minutes.
This game is so addicting.

Probably not that useful for most, but the latest SuSE 10.0 comes with KSudoku (in KDE, of course). I personally haven't used it much, but it's there and free. If you're a Linux geek, of course!
