99% of the time i usally push that button to shoot the cart out of the Super Nintendo. Who else does it or dosent do it?
Note: I dont think the Model 2 has an Eject Button.

Its been a while since I have played my trusty old SNES, but I remember nearly 100% of the time I just pull the cart out.

I never used it as a kid growing up playing it. I'd always just rip it out of the console. I always thought it never harmed it. Actually... I still don't.
However, recently, I've been pressing the eject button more often. I usually push it if the game doesn't work; I push the button and blow in it some more.

I use it. It's easier. If you pull the cart out, you have to hold the system down with your other hand. You can push the eject button and pull the cart out with the same hand. Less work.

Agreed, if there's one thing I hate about the SNES II it's the lack of an eject button. Although it has a smaller footprint, the need for more vertical clearance to manually pull the cartridge out makes it JUST fit in my entertainment center.

I always hit the eject button, but it took me a long time to realize i could just take it out,
but the eject button is the way to go :)

Like someone said earlier, it's easier to push the button than to pull the game out.

I push the eject button, but I place my hand gently on the cartridge so as to avoid jettisoning it into the air like a piece of burnt toast.

Absolutely. Doesn't it make nasty "oh shit did i damage something" sounds if you don't?

Depends on what I'm using. ;) When I'm using the original model, I push the eject button 99% of the time. Usually when I don't it's only because I've been using the second model for awhile.

I usually just yank the cart out of the system.

I just find it funny that Nintendo was forced to change the cartridge molds because of the amount of people not using the Eject button and possibly damaging the cart.
Me? I went for distance on the Eject Button. TMNT IV could hit the 4 feet high mark on a good day. :D

Is that why they changed the bottom of the cart to have the indent instead of the solid plastic across? I always kinda wondered about that, although I'm not quite sure how anyone had problems either way...
Anyway, yeah... I was always an eject button person, although sometimes I'd have to yell at my friends when they pulled the carts out without hitting the button ;) .

Being so used to pulling a cart out of my Genesis, for the first month I owned a SNES last year, I found myself pulling the cart out before realizing there is an eject button. Now, I use the eject button all the time. Pulling it out won't do any damage, but like the others have said, the eject button requires less force.

I always use the eject button, but then again I'm more used to the SNES than the Genesis.

Same here, I've had my SNES about twice as long as I've had my Genny. Also does the N64 have an eject button(I don't remember) and if not why didn't Nintendo put one in?

When I was younger, as in like, 6 or 7 years old, I'd push the eject button with force just so the game gets some air. LOL
However, now I just hit the eject button and take the game out. The SNES was kinda like my "Default" system growing up, so I couldn't imagine just pulling it out. Then when my friend did it, I practically went apeshit on him just for doing it. I mean, I know there is a very small chance of actually harming the system, but he actually lifted the game up while it was still in the system, causing the system to rise, then he pushed the system down. I got so mad after that...
