a coupple of weeks ago i got another Genesis and was sitting in my backyard cleaning it and my GF looked at the top of it and said "that would be cute if it was purple" and then went inside and walked back outside with some purple paint and a brush and started painting it. i have to say it lookes not bad now its done. here is a pic of it now. after it was done i told her its hers now she dont have to take mine away from me when she plays sonic

That's pretty nice considering a paint brush was used for such a large area. The detal around the lettering is nice as well, that's always a pain to keep paint off with a Genesis. Here are a few of my paint mods -

If I had a G/F that did that, id ban her from going anywhere near anything electrical.

I love that Fuku DC.

I decided to go paint up a genny today because of this thread. It's all white now. If i had skills, I'd give it an orange LED. :D

Thanks! :) And to think in about a month and a half or so there will finally be a Sailormoon DC game to play on it. The Sailormoon Beats of Rage mod that is - I was a consultant (basic story outline / quality assurance) and pulled a few strings to get my girlfriend in as the voice of Makoto Kino / Sailor Jupiter. LOL

That sounds cool, maybe it's time for me to start messing around with the Genesis, I haven't touched one since I got my X'Eye but I have an idea for a paint mod. The DC is REALLY easy to work with since it's so easy to disassemble and reassemble and the shell has an easy to paint shape. (well, easy as CD based shells are to paint anyway) That, and I have an MGX template for the DC that I made so I can draw out all my paint schemes on my computer, makes it easy to figure out the best ways to overlap paint layers. :D

i was thinking of doing a led mod on the purple one maby a blue or white led, and maby making clear buttons for it (making the buttons for it will be a pain in the ass) but it would be cool :D

Remember it's still months away from release and MUCH of it is all behind the scenes development, so the less pressure put on the mod right now the better. It will be done, it will be complete, just give it time.
