Slashdot linked to a great article this week about the Xbox's boot code. For those of you who are interested in mod chips, boot codes and how all that stuff works, take a look at this article. It's not too technical, and really gives you a sense of how hackers figure this stuff out.

Edit: There is nothing pro-piracy or mod chip on this page. It just basically discusses how the Xbox was protected.
