I just noticed this on ign and though i should show everyone it

I did a search on the forums and found no mention of the review, so here you go :)

Well here's the links
Nintendogs: Chihuahua & Friends (http://ds.ign.com/articles/643/643652p1.html)

Nintendogs: Lab & Friends (http://ds.ign.com/articles/643/643654p1.html)

Nintendogs: Dachshund & Friends (http://ds.ign.com/articles/643/643653p1.html)

Here's Gamespots Reviews

Nintendogs: Chihuahua & Friends (http://www.gamespot.com/ds/strategy/nintendogschihuahuaandfriends/review.html?q=1&tag=gs_hp_flashtop_read)

Nintendogs: Dachshund & Friends (http://www.gamespot.com/ds/strategy/nintendogsdachshundandfriends/review.html)

Nintendogs: Lab & Friends (http://www.gamespot.com/ds/strategy/nintendogslabradorandfriends/index.html)

I haven't read it yet but each review looks basically the same with little differences.

I am surprised at the differences in score with IGN giving it 88% and Gamespot giving the game 9.1

but good for it, makes me want to get a DS now just for this game :)

WalMart has a 5 minute Demo in their Kiosk.

I have been there three times to play it. Quite addictive. Oh yeah, and the wife left me a sweet little card sealed with a kiss on the keyboard.
Inside was a gift card for 35 dollars, with a note saying I can go buy "Snoopy" the Beagle for the DS on monday.

Isn't she a sweetie?

Im still not certain if I will like this game. I mean I am open to playing any types of games, but I dont know how long pampering a virtual dog will keep me busy.

It looks innovative and all but Im still not convinced giving dogs baths and throwing balls will keep me busy much.

Well Im going to a nintendogs promotion in a few hours, so Ill decide then.

I'm very curious to get this game Monday. I LOVE Boxers and I can't wait to see if the virtual one can hold up to the two my parents have. :)

I'm undecided about buying the game as of now. I might read the reviews posted and try to make up my mind. I read the in depth article Nintendo Power has in the current issue and I'm wanting to buy it. If I do, then it has to be the Daschund version. :)

I actually got to play the little demo, and it was pretty...satisfying? The graphics were quite realistic and the dogs actually responded how a real dog would to being pet. I am not exactly jumping for joy ( my sister has a dog who lives at home with me) but I'll definately be looking to buy it cheap. For those who do not own a dog, I can see the appeal for this game.

Nintendogs-Puppies without the poop.

Lets bump this one for the people who have this. Simple question really:

HOW IN THE HELL DO YOU GET YOUR DOG TO UNDERSTAND YOU???

I've had this thing for a half hour, and the dog refuses to respond to its name. I've made it understand it, but after that, you're supposed to keep saying it. I'm getting nothing. It sits there and whines. I've petted, yelled, screamed, whsipered, cut out background noise, talked softly, and anything else I can think of. This cart is going across the room in a few more minutes.

What am I doing wrong?

The voice recognition isn't perfect in that game. You must speak as clearly as you can when speaking with your puppy. I feel for you, as my boyfriend had issues with the game's voice recognition as well.

How does a review of Nintendogs have spoilers??? What, does little Fifi get run over by a milk truck at the end of the game? Does a prize winning pedigree female get boned by an alley dog?

What?

I've had more luck with the dogs understanding me when the words I'm using two syllables with different pitches, and start with consenents, however you spell that. For example, I have my first dog Bony responding like a champ, but I had to pronouce it Boh-Knee with the second syllable louder and higher before the game would give me the sparkly yellow arua that told me he understood. My other dog Tai is more hit or miss, he comes most of the time but it normally take a bit of calling his name to get him to come over, but I had a third dog Asa that wouldn't come over on a bet. I've also had no luck with sit, unless I taught them the command as sit down. I had to re-teach Bony, since whenever I said sit, he'd just stare.

It's a good thing you changed your custom title, because this comment that omits the fact that there are plenty of unlockables just bumped you off my Hero list. My new hero is Hydr0x. Welcome Hydr0x.

I wouldn't know. I have played the game for a grand total of 30 seconds.
