Hey guys I didn't take too many photos since I was in video game overload mode and kind of floated around aimlessly looking at all the video game goodness.

I did manage to take a few shots of the video game museum (i'm sure other people took more than I did). A photo of my tired girlfriend I dragged to the expo and a couple she took of me playing too. One really bad photo of 8 Bit Weapon who I thought were so cool I bought both their cds.

Those pictures are awesome Jibba!
I always love looking at pictures of the DP guys. They always seem to be doing some crazy antic. However, I don't see Arcade Antics (the king of all antics) in any of those pictures.

Classicb, where the shits were you? I wanted to meet you.

Classicb, where the shits were you? I wanted to meet you.

Funny enough I mostly just played games with my GF as if we don't have enough games at home.

The only DP people got to talk to were RetroYoungen (since he was helping with 8 bit weapon) and DP. I was thinking I would meet more DPers at the party but then we ended up not going. :( It was just a day trip for us.

Here's what I got:

http://pickledvellum.com/cge.jpg

This is my first Colecovision. :) We played Venture, Ladybug and Mousetrap when we got back home.

I wanted to say it was an awesome show and I REALLY appreciate going on all of your dimes. I very much enjoyed talking w/ all of the members and Joe (digitalpress). And I made some future friends in Jibba Jaba, Neuropolitique, Dojosky & his brother (Dan), Drexel923, and everyone else I met!

If I forgot your name in a picture, please forgive me and send me a PM so I can correct it (including what picture you were in).

Sorry about the mulitple pictures, you can't "edit" in this forum...why?

Beats me, but I do have a couple of corrections. That 7800 controller was released in Europe, and they are readily available as NOS here in the states. I have one myself. If you are interested in one, contact Dave2236/ He sells them in his store.

Also, in that group photo, those two individuals that you didn't name are evg2000 and Darth Vader. I dunno 8-bit Weapon's real name either.

Vectrexer, Mayhem, RetroYoungen, and Drex. Plus the unidentified back of someone's head.
Chris

I believe the back of that head might belong to Rik Morgan, your humble handheld games king, and kind exhibitor of the the gigantic handheld section in the CGE museum. Rik tells me there is much more.

Both Rik and I have not really hung out with the group before. Everyone was supernice and interesting. Glad I finally was able to meet and greet a lot of you! The show has some many good souls it is hard to name everyone.

In an effort to save bandwidth, I've started posting some of the highlights of a couple hundred megs worth of video in my blog.*

* End of blog-pimpage - normally frowned-upon, but if you're posting your CGE pics in your blog, it's permissible in this thread.

At this point, my camera's battery died so I missed half the auction. Also, since the party was right after the auction I missed taking pics there too, which really sucked.

And now, the continuing story of Mr Flibble. Due to my busy schedule I didn't really get a chance to talk to Mr Flibble...however I did get to see him once or twice and made it a point to capture the moment.

Mr Flibble was trying to get Carrie to come back to his room, but she would have no part in it:
http://www.libertyshred.com/nick/cge2k5/flibble_carrie.jpg

Later I saw him digging in the cash box...I immediately snapped a picture just in case he snagged some money when no one was around:
http://www.libertyshred.com/nick/cge2k5/flibble_cash.jpg

I did see him at the party later on Saturday and I know someone was taking pictures...maybe we will see more of Mr. Flibble's adventures at CGE ;) LOL

What Jag game was that that was auctioned off with the Catbox? What'd it sell for?

It was Battlesphere and I think it had 2 Catboxes. It didn't sell, I think the reserve was $500.

It was great seeing everyone again and meeting a few new people as well.

I uploaded over 450 photos from the show to Joe this afternoon so he should have them in a gallery near you soon!

Cool, thanks. That's actually not a bad price for all that, but I imagine people are strapped for cash by the end of the show.

Who is the proud owner of the BMW with the license plate "Pitfall"?

..and who of the DP team got awards for their work for the CGE?

Hey how is everybody doing?

WOW! What a breath taking show, I had the time of my life :D It was so awesome getting to reunite with the DP Staff/Team. Plus the party Sat. night kicked Ass and I got totally wasted LOL. It is pretty damn sweet "lendelin" the BMW with the License plate "Pitfall" actually does belong to none other than Mr. David Crane, If I remember right Glenn took the picture; he showed it to me at the Alumni Dinner. As far as awards go... the Alumini Dinner was the happiest night of my life, I got an award and got to deliver a speech to all the Alumni :D I owe it all to Joe, John and Sean for making that dream come true. Glenn received an award as well (His "Leatherman" story will go down in CGE history forever I must add). CGE was spectacular this year, plus it was fun wearing the White Suite Don Johnson style ;) Oh yeah please keep them pics rolling, I love looking back on the show. Take Care guys :D

I suspected that. Finally a vanity plate that makes sense (...after seeing all the Playboy variations and Superman variations on license plates driven by geeky and ugly looking guys in their 50s in very fast and sporty cars.)

Congrats! :) Well deserved for a lot of time and work put into the show.

I noticed one thing in the pics. Joe Santulli hugging John Hardie seems very comfortable, they look they are "one heart and one soul" in the picture. (a German saying) He does seem a bit uncomfortable hugging other 'guys,' though.

I don't even know what that means. Don't ask me, I'm just making statements. :)

Lady Jaye and Ulala, great pics as well! It is very nice to put some faces on DP handles, and get an impression of the CGE.

This pic is kind of funny. Joe had a stack of JAP Saturn titles for sale, but he had no idea what to charge for them. The DP guide doesn't have a JAP SS section right now, so we had no way of knowing what these games were worth, and none of us are JAP SS experts, so we had Toby (y-bot) from Billy Galaxy's booth come over and price Joe's shit! (Thats Drex and me hovering over Toby.)

I've been busy since getting back from CGE but I've finally found the time to get my photos and impressions of the show online. Better late than never, I suppose.

It was a great show as always! I enjoyed meeting folks from this board "for real" and I apologize to Lady Jaye and Cav for repeatedly being wrong about where I was going to be after the show (my reasons are explained in the linked article). Anyway, I'm already looking forward to 2007.

Hey Earl, I like your site, thanks for all of the great pics & captions.

By the way, I dig your taste in music too! I have alot of those albums you've reveiwed.

It was nice meeting you (remember I was the guy from Florida who thought you sold him all of those Atari 400 carts).

Hey, no problem William! There will be another chance to meet up and chat, I'm sure of that! Besides, I understand the need to sightsee San Francisco, especially when the stay is so short (personally, I did so much sightseeing in Vancouver, that by the time I was in San Francisco, I didn't feel like exploring the city as much as I thought I would -- however, I did enjoy the SF Giants game very much so...).

And Tony, it's great to see that you now have a profile pic that looks like you... ;) (had it not been for me, Earl would have never gotten around to talk to you!)
