What gives? This really sucks. Form the minuet I heard about this title I was completely stoked. Now, it seems that for some reason Capcom is NOT going to release it on the Gamecube. Does anyone know any reason for this? I don’t own a PS2 or an Xbox and I’m really going to be pissed if this title is one that I can’t play. Here’s a link to the Capcom site and the game:

No clue to be honest, but I've known it's suppose to be for Xbox and PS2 for a while now.

I just wonder if they'll give you anything else for this collection (Art gallery, sound room to listen to remixes and such)

Its sad how the Gamecube is dying a slooow death :(

I dont have a GC anymore for the simple reason that it was collecting more dust than anything in my house and I luv that little system.

when companies like Capcom one of the few MAJOR GC supporters start cancelling cross-platform games from the GC theres no denying what is happening :/

Now with the possibility of the new ZELDA not even making it to the GC I might not pick up a used one as I originally planned.

It seems the only third party developer/publisher that is still FULLY supporting the GC is EA .........for now anyway.

It a business decision. A Gamecube port just wouldn't push enough units to make it worth while. Its a sign that the Gamecube is heading to that great big entertainment unit in the sky where it can finally dance and play with the Dreamcast.

EA doesn't fully support gamecube either, if they fully support the gamecube where is NCAA '06, The college basketball titles, and burnout 3 or the new burnout coming out next month.

Yeah, it's sad that GC gets little support. It's hard to take it that almost every game gets released for Xbox and PS2 to but not GC. But I just say to myself less games=easier to complete collection.

That's the spirit!! :D I do this every time a game I was looking forward to ends up vaporware.

that's bullcrap IMO.
it would sell more copies on GC than on xbox(also see Megaman Anniversary Collection).Classic collections are doing good on GC that's why Midway's only games which didn't get canceled for GC are the 3 "Midway arcade Treasures".Hell, they even make a new version of the oldschool classic "Rampage" for PS2 and GC(no xbox version).

It's really weird cause the upcoming Megaman X collection
will be only for PS2 and GC(no xbox). strange
bah....stupid Capcom. They did the same(no GC port) with "capcom fighting evolution" and "Street Fighter Collection" and both bombed horribly on xbox. x_x

Good point ;) I stand corrected

I guess the GC is very near its end.

It's a bummer to hear this isn't coming out on the Gamecube, but oh well. I'll just get it on PS2.

GC>Revolution that seems to be, the hint from third partys.

I guess i'll be getting the... collection for the PS2 then.

capcom getting revenge for nintendo censoring final fight on the snes. better late than never.

that does suck though. i would still buy a used gamecube though (to the corresponding person who was deciding not to).

goddamnit. THREE street fighter games? i also feel that super ghosts and goblins was unessecary, since the snes version was so great and is very easy to find.

I think the whole collection is quite useless as most stuff was already out on PSone and Saturn as Capcom generations series. Especially for Europe I think it is quite useless as we got all games already except 3 or 4 a few years back on PSone.

Why in the hell would they have street fighter 2 as part of that collection they already re-released all those games.

all those awesome games, but no UN squadron or STRIDER?!

ah well, still a solid lineup if it comes in at $20 like all these comps.

Just another sign that Zelda is going to end up on the Revolution.

Capcom Generations didn't come to the US.

With all of the next gen systems announced at E3 earlier this year, this is the one thing previewed that got me really excited (that sounded funny). IMHO this is probably the best compilation of games since Midways Arcade Treasures Vol 1. It will be great to get my hands on the good ports of the 194# and Ghosts and Goblins series without having to deal with emulation.

Hooray Bionic Commando!

Gonna have to grab this for the xbox.

Thats kind of weird considering that most of those games are classics from Nintendo consoles. Why they wouldn't release it on the newest Nintendo console; I have no idea.

I'll flame that collection just because it doesn't include Super Street Fighter 2 or SSF2 Turbo. I hate it when game companies don't put all their games into a collection. Shit, where's Street Fighter 1? Huh? Has that been ported to anything ever? (Ultracade doesn't count.) And I think not including 19XX is bullshit. That was one fucking awesome game.

Commando, Bionic Commando (not the bullshit NES version), Trojan, and Final Fight rock this collection hard. But still, where are Strider and Captain Commando? WTF?

Super Ghouls and Ghosts

I wonder... this was a Super NES game that was hard as hell and frustrating as a bitch as well (I still loved it.) It was also a 1st-generation title (launch, really) that was plagued with horrible, horrible slowdown that occasonally made the game easier to play.

Will it be a direct port of the SNES game, slowdown and all? Did the same game on the Capcom Generations disks for the Saturn and PSX have slowdown?
