My first big landmark in lankmark: 100 SNES games 8-) . I'm really pround to have 100 SNES games, it's not much to alot of you all, but it is too a 13 year old. http://users.ign.com/collection/snes_collector Theres my collection if anywants to see it. I started collecting after looking at the issue of collectors closet with the rare SNES games listed. Then I started getting about a half-dozen SNES games at GameStop every time I went(which wasn't, and still isn't alot) untill they had nothing worth buying. Thats how I started collecting, and man I love it :) .

Hey, good job!

When I was 13 I think I was lucky just to have a dozen NES carts split between my brother and I :(

On an oddly related tangent, I just hit 100 PS2 games this weekend :)

What do you do for game cash? Paperboy? (that's how I afforded my addiction when I was 13 :( )

You should start a subcollection of all of the Neo Geo to SNES ports :) A lot of those games made it over really well.. before the great trade in of 1996, I had almost all of them :(

Well for my cash(it pretty much all goes to games) I just get it for birthday/christmas/school and helping my parents with stuff. I don't have much though, I rarely buy games new, right now I only have 10 bucks :( .

As for sub-collection, Neo Geo SNES ports would be awesome, and pretty easy(with the exception of Aero Fighters) I might start that after I finish getting all SNES Titus and KOEI games.

Btw, and didn't mention is before but I don't have games off the internet unless I have too. The only game stuff I've NEVER bought on the internet is my NGPC and my games, and Rave Master for GC.

Btw again, most of my SNES games are cart only, I'll get the boxes and manuals later.

Thats a good lot of games you got there. I'm impressed that a 13 year old knows and cares so much about the SNES. I'm dissapointed that they're all not boxed though. But thats just me - I hate loose games.

If you have a Gamecrazy store in your area you could try special ordering Aero Fighters.

You have to pay $6 up front in case they do find it. That covers the shipping charge to the store you order it from. Then you have to pay the regular price of the game. Back in May or so of this year the game price was only $1.99. So for about $10 total you could get it.

No guarantee if they find it but you do get the $6 back if they can't.

This is how I got my copy. :)

Congrats! You've got a lot of nice games there too.

I completed a goal of getting 100 SNES games myself last year (the 100th was Tetris Attack). Around the time I joined DP, I had about 30 SNES games (and much less when I was your age - I couldn't imagine owning that many back then!). I had starting buying SNES games for the first time in a few years and I wanted to get the good titles I missed out on back in the SNES' heyday, and finding out about DP provided a good amount of inspiration as well. :)

Most of my games are loose too, but it doesn't bother me. It's cheaper and it's tough to find boxed/complete copies locally anyways.

Enjoy your collection!

Broke the 100 SNES game barrier a few months ago myself, then I got hooked on buying Genesis games (they seem to be slightly cheaper). Have been thinking of getting a lot of fluff games (sports titles) to quickly get my SNES collection to 200, but haven't been willing to throw that money away yet...

Nice assortment of games for the other systems too. You seem to have a Nintendo addiction...which is cool...

Save the $10 for your Revolution...

Later,

Hey, congratulations! I only have about 30 SNES games, and I'm 15. So you definetly made a great accomplishment at your age. Like someone said above, keep collecting; don't stop! :D

At 13, I probably had no more than 10 video games TOTAL, not even just limited to SNES. :P And 10 years later, I still haven't quite hit 100 SNES games, even if I add in the Super Famicom games as well. Kind of odd when I think about it since the SNES/SFC is my favorite system. For some reason, I've never really "collected" for SNES. For the most part, I've only picked up games that I genuinely wanted to play, and I don't tend to find games I want very often, at least not at acceptable prices. It's kinda nice, though, since my SNES collection isn't bogged down with a lot of crap. It's nice to look through the list and see almost nothing but great games.

Ah well, anyway, congratulations!

And I'm impressed by the level of writing he exhibits at the age of 13. You're typing puts a lot of older forum members to shame.

BTW, what do your peers (classmates/friends) think about you collecting for an older system? If they bug you, don't be deterred. Always do what you enjoy, not what others (or the mass-marketing arm of society) tell you you should be enjoying.

Nice! I think I"m in the 90's myself, and that's counting my SNES and Super Famicom cartridges combined.

But then again now that I have a super Famicom system I have to treat both region systems as separate.

I'd pay 10$ for Aerofighters anyday. But I have no Game Crazy in my area, if I did, I'd already be over 100 SNES games.

And someone asked how how my friends think about me collecting. Well, I think only one person knows I collect. No that I have no friends, it's just that people don't think of me as a nerd, and if I told them they probably would.

And another person asked if my dad ever sneeks and plays my SNES. Nope never has, probably never will. I've only got him to play a video game ONCE(which was Nascar Thunder 2003.) I ask him every now and them but he always says their too complacated. It's kinda wierd though I can never get him to play games, but he's the one who's supported me the most with collecting. He never get's mad when I bring in new stuff. My mom does mind me collecting but then again, she doesn't like me bring in all kinds of stuff(aka light guns, racing wheels, etc.) but there really isn't alot of places to put it. I'm done running out of room!
