Hah! I was browsing ebay when I found this gem :

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3002532489&category=3653

LOL
NO BUYING MULTIPLE AUCTIONS UNLESS YOU ARE WILLING TO PAY FOR SHIPPING FOR EACH INDIVIDUAL ITEM. this keeps ebayers from buying me out, and reselling for a huge profit on ebay. please bid with confidence LOL

Isn't that the same as saying outright the seller profits from S&H alone? It's dangerously close to breaking eBay rule about outrangerous S&H charge.

You know, It gets old criticizing other sellers auctions regularly. Yeah, agreed, this it a pretty retarted position to take but you know what, he's not breaking any rules and people bid on his auctions. Does ebay state anywheres that sellers must combine shipping on mutiple auctions?

The guy has received feedback for 65 transactions and out of that only 52 (80%) positive. Also check out the way he replies to his feedback. This should give you some sort of idea of what kind of person you're dealing with.

The way I'm gonna start looking at these kinds of auctions is that it's the buyers who are retarted, not the sellers. If sellers can get away with this kind of crap then God bless them. Again, he's not breaking any rules.

Whoa dude you need to chill with the tude Im kinda new here I didnt know this type of post was getting "old". I seen this auction today an just thought it was humorous about the "reselling for huge profits". I see by your post count your a regular around here but hey that dont mean anything to me. I dont know maybe you are this seller if so Im sorry if this has offended you.

And charging someone 24.00 to ship 6 cds is a blatant rip off to boot but thanks for the clarification of ebay rules.

Sorry dude, I'm not attacking you and this wasn't my auction.

It's just that this place seems to have turned into a hang out for self proclaimed ebay experts who take it apon theirselves to "tattle" on any auction that they don't find to their liking. I'm reminded of the nerd in school who used to volunteer his study hall time to be a hall monitor. You know, he had to keep the halls "safe" for all of us defenseless students. You want to know the best defense for not getting burnt on ebay is? READ THE WHOLE ITEM DESCRIPTION and don't complain if you don't.

You know this is a forum for people to have fun, complain, or whatever. If YOU don't like it YOU don't have to read it . And by respondig like you did you've become one of those complainers. Except the guys on the forum were complaining about something that matters ( Spending our hard earned money ), and all you're complaining about is others complaining. And now you've got me complaining about you complaining about others complaining.
Man I gotta find more hobbies O_O

Oh just ignore my ranting and raving and watch the Simpsons. :D

Uhh...yeah, critizing sellers is kind of the point of the Ebay Insanity Forum. If you're tired of it, why are you reading here?

I was originally attracted to the ebay insanity board because this was a great place to see funny auctions that people had posted or to see the rediculous prices people ask for things. Sure it's fun to bust on buyers and sellers who don't have a clue but its entirely something else to get involved in these auctions in any way other than bidding. Who are any of us to take on the role of the ebay police dept? For example, the subject of the post currently above this one right now reads

"Could Someone Get This Guy Banned"

Real Nice. The poster of that message hadn't even bid on the auction he was complaining about. It had absolutley nothing to do with him other than the fact that he didn't like and so he decided that the seller should be banned. I've also seen plenty of instances where people here say they have emailed bidders of auctions to warn them about items or sellers even though this is completely against ebay rules.

I just think that there's a line that is being crossed that nobody here has the right to cross unless they're a bidder/seller of the auction in question and someones trying to screw them.

Who's crossing the line here? Given the prescence of multiple smileys in Mother's post, I don't think he was suggesting that we should band together and take this guy down. I don't think anyone here is trying to play "eBay police" or anything like that.

And frankly I think this guy's shipping prices and policy qualify for "EBay Insanity". He's sold enough that he's not "a clueless seller" when it comes to shipping costs. I do quite a bit of mailing myself and I enjoy laughing at those who are intentionaly overcharging.

As for the "Could someone Get this guy banned" thing, well, I think he should be banned. You may say that people are crossing the line and being eBay police, but eBay is norotiously slow when it comes to taking action of stuff like that.

I have to disagree with your premise that it's somehow wrong to email bidders if something is wrong with an auction or seller. I don't claim to know if this is against eBay rules or not, but I've seen several instances where there were known scam artists working eBay and sellers who didn't know about message boards such as this one or Atari Age were alerted to this fact.

I know eBay operates on a "buyer beware" type of system, but we all know eBay is notoriously slow when it comes to dealing with people who are intentionally trying to rip people off. I think it's awesome that the community tries to protect people who don't know better in cases like that. If people are emailing sellers with nothing to go on other than one bad transaction or thinking the bidder overpaid, I'd agree with you. But the only times I've heard of someone emailing a bidder have been when there were multiple cases of out and out fraud and deception.

Not everyone does the kind of research you should, but that doesn't mean that they desreve to get ripped off either. That's the bottom line to me. Yes, people should take the time and do their homework before bidding on stuff, but people shouldn't be allowed to take advantage of the fact that there are people who don't. I don't think anyone is trying to get on their high horse here, it's just as classic gamers we don't like to see others taken advantage of.

According to your reasoning, If you were walking down the street and someone was getting robbed or beaten or raped, You would just walk on by. Because "It has absolutely nothing to do with you". We all have a responsibility to help other people out when they are being taken advantage of in any way. You sound like a very selfish person who only cares about himself. I hope I never have to depend on you to help me or one of my friends out.

There's obviously a big difference between these two examples. The most importany in my eyes is rules and laws. In the attack example I believe that the law states (I may be wrong here) that we are all legally obligated to help someone in this kind od situation even if it's to just call for help. As far as ebay goes though, the following is quoted from ebay's own rules page which I will link below. In fact, it is the first offense listed under buying offenses.

"Transaction interference - Emailing buyers in an open or ended transaction to warn them away from a seller or item."

http://pages.ebay.com/help/community/investigates.html#bidding

I think that this makes it pretty clear that emailing a person and telling them to avoid a seller or to cancel their bid is a big no no.

the only response I have to this comment is check out my reputation (Linked below for your convenience). I've NEVER tried to scam anyone. I'm not making this arguement as a scammer trying to defend my actions. I'm making them as a legit trader who goes out of my way to make it right for my buyer.

It seems like your saying that it's ok to break ebay's rules in order to screw someone that may be breaking ebay's rules. Sounds a little hypocritical to me.
