I was waiting for someone to start this thread. My finds aren't good enough to warrant a new thread.

Resident Evil: Code Veronica X for PS2 £4
Splinter Cell for PS2 £4

And OPS2M

On a side note:
How can I stop spending money easily? I honestly feel that I've got an addiction to buying games. I just can't stop. This may not seem like a problem for people with jobs, but I'm living off £10 a week, £5 of which I'm supposed to be saving. It's really getting me down :(

A friend of mine was cleaning his room and gave me some random stuff he was going to throw away.

Gameshark for PC (complete)
Game Boy precautions booklet

So yeah, probably not even worth a post. Normally, I could care less about precautions booklets, but I'll keep it as a spare in case I come across a boxed game that doesn't have one. Beats getting thrown in the trash.

Um, no.1, you must be living at home - or else dependent on somebody in some way or other, as there is no earthly way you can actually live on £5 a week, or £10 a week.

If your basic essentials are covered, how you spend your £5 of £10 a week is fairly inconsequential. However.

If you are really concerned about it, sell your video game console(s). Then you won't be buying games for them AND you'll have a bit more cash to save.

No, I'm not joking - I am entirely serious. If you are serious about the question, then don't piss around complaining about how hard it is to save your money whilst you've got a money drain sitting in your living room. It's like complaining about getting wet feet in a boat, but not plugging the hole in the hull.

Yes I am.

I suppose the easy option is just to stop getting pocket money. That way I've got nothing to spend. Using your example it would be like being in a sinking boat with no water around. I'm getting too old for pocket money anyway. This wouldn't be a problem at all if I had a job. :( I have applied places though, it's just that spending all my money when I get it is getting me down.

I finally found a copy of Top Angler for GCN today. I have checked every place for this game the past 6 months or so, and this is the first time I have ever seen it. Not a "find" money-wise at $22, but okay taking ebay prices into consideration.

This arrived in the post today. I took some advice from fellow board memeber Matty2xb and was lucky enough to stumble across it on ebay. The seller had listed it as a normal Super Mario 64 DS. He didnt mention anything about it being a Not for Resale cart. Thats why it only set me back a mere £11.50.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v369/nintendo-joe/23_1_b.jpg

The noticable differences are:
-VS. Mode cannot be selected.
-Options cannot be selected.
-Its says 'trial version' in the top right hand corner of the top screen when in the menu.
-All 3 story mode files have 50 stars and cannot be deleted.
-The game cannot be saved.
-After 10 minutes of play the Demo resets to the title screen.

Anyway, a nice little addition to my DS collection.

Joe. :)

Also, my copy of Star Wars Episode III DS arrived from walrusmonger. Thanks mate.

http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a358/InHisMemory/nesthree.jpg
http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a358/InHisMemory/nesfour.jpg

Anyone got an estimate of value on this stuff? All of them were purchased for $1, got lucky I guess

(Moved from topic, sorry about the mispost)

These were found at a local video rental store, I was told they were in the closet for years. Apparently the owner was going to sell NES games at one point and decided not to but left them in storage until recently to sell them for $1 each.

Also, on the Action 52s I've seen on eBay as "complete" I see mine has three extra things I have not seen elsewhere. There is a Cheetahman mini comic book, a list of games on the cartridge, and a precaution about the game doing resets on the system, would those items increase the value at all?

I'm really jealous of that boxed virtual boy for $3.
Today I made a really cool find.
I got a Fairchild Channel F, for $3!
I had never even heard about it until today.
DP guide has it listed as an R7! I was excited.
I put some more info about it up on my site, if anyone is interested.
I'm probably going to put it on my trade list.

-Nintendogs Big Stylus

Total Cost: £10.09 shipped. Brilliant.

The Masquerade Lullaby looks like a Point n Click Adventure and with a lack of japanese knowledge, it may be a bit hard to play. So, I may leave it sealed for the time being.

But, the pen will come in quite handy to play with as I find the regular stylus hard to play with on certain games.

I'm not usually interested in box/label variats for any console, but I figured that since I have every game (except 1) for the Intellivision, variants wouldn't be all that bad.
Got this in the mail from a fellow member:

After visiting my girlfriend for a little bit at the bank that she works at, I decided to stop in the Goodwill that is right next door... and boy am I glad that I did! :)

http://www.4eternal.com/images/find.jpg

I found a COMPLETE IN BOX NES with all of the styro, and paperwork for $16.95! And I also snagged a loose Power Glove for $3.95!

I passed on a box that had a (Nasty, multi-colored) SNES w/controller, a 3rd party controller, a crappy N64 game, a crappy SNES game, and Mario Kart. It had a price sticker on the box for $25.95. No thanks.. Although I REALLY want Mario Kart. I may go in there later and offer them $5 for just that game.

As I was driving home I had a thought that maybe, possibly THIS could be the actual NES that I sold at a yardsale almost 12 years ago. (It was my first NES that I got for Christmas) It was in the same city and the system was in the same condition.. who knows???? LOL

Very cool. It would be even cooler if it is the one you sold 12 years back!

Metal Gear Solid Twin Snakes (Gamecube)
Gunvalkyrie (Xbox)
Midway Arcade Treasures vol 1 (Playstation 2)
Psi Ops (Playstation 2)
Gungrave (Playstation 2)

Once again proof that I'll pick up just about anything if it's $10.

Saw Fur Fighters (Playstation 2) for $10 as well but I didn't have enough $$ for it. Next week....mmm....

Got some stuff in the mail for free:

22 Animal Crossing e-cards (needed 20 of them)
Silent Service (NES)
Atari Arcade Hits Vol. 1 (PC)
Sim Isle (PC)
Sim Town (PC)
Sim Tower (PC)

Then, went to EB games and picked up:
Animal Crossing (GCN) - $20
Section-Z w/ manual (NES) - $.89
3-pack of 3 game GBA cases - $4.99

Not awesome prices but that's the first time I've ever gotten an NES manual with a game at EB and I've been wanting Animal Crossing for quite awhile.

Final Fantasy X (PS2) - as new, with bonus DVD, $35.00AU
Steel Dragon EX (PS2) - complete, $9.70AU

FFX actually only set me back $20, as I traded in some SNES and Master System titles.
