Ive been playing forza for while and Im almost level 21 .
I trained my drivatar just a lil bit and im currently trying to win the porche series in the point to point races.
My car is the older 911 completly maxed out.
Even if I de tune the motor I cannot win this race becuase the car will all the sudden loose traction and go off the road.
My drivatar can lead the race up untill about 96% and it goes off the road at the same place every single time.
I have tried more training and it still crashes . I have tried different setting and de-tuning and still goes off the road.
Most of my drivatar stats are about 75% or higher.
I dont usually use the drivatar but I just cant win this race . It is the nurburgring b track I belive.
Any tips at all?

Yeah, I remember those 911 races being horrifying. That car is just awful to control. I don't know if you have Live or not - you should, since you have Forza ;-) - but check the scoreboards for that event, and try downloading a few different setups. Off the top of my head, I'd say soften the springs and jack up the ride height a bit for the Ring, but you'd need to play with that. I never really noticed much improvement when fiddling with the front end alignment, though.
I've also heard of people intentionally using weaker tires on some of the more outlandish cars. Having a little bit of give in the traction helps prevent the car from hitting a weird bump and shooting itself off into the grass. Of course you'll have to take the turns a bit more conservatively, but it beats wrecking your front end a mile into the race every time.
The main thing with THAT race is that you MUST memorize the entire track....and it's a lot of track to memorize. You'll be asked to drive some insane cars on that track over and over later on, so learn to love Nurburgring. During the first half of the track you have to resist every urge to brake with the exception of a few downhill corners even though your mind is screaming for you to slow down. Scrub speed by inertial drifting instead. By the time you hit the latter half of the first part most of the pack should have been lost and you should only have one guy to deal with.
On the second half of the track, get on the brakes often. Sometimes the slower you go, the faster you are. There are two back to back dips going into sharp right-handers where you can catch too much air if you aren't prepared for them. Go find them and memorize where they are.
Lower the car on both front and rear by going one click from the left. I play with the final drive on all of my cars until I can max out at around one graph square to the right of 221 kph. That's plenty fast for Forza. That way I get nice acceleration for the sections where I have to shut it down.
Steal the correct lines through the track, just as with all of the others, and they won't touch you. One cool thing that you'll find is that the AI in Forza usually hates to use the wrong line and will tend to brake hard to avoid hitting you. Where YOU are supposed to brake is where they WILL brake. Use that to your advantage. You know exactly where and when they are going to cut speed. Thankfully it isn't like the shitty AI in Gran Turismo that just runs you off of the road if it can't have it's line. LOL
One thing that helps huge is to get rid of the stupid music in the game. It breaks your concentration. Another is to NOT use the triggers for gas and brake. Use the A button for gas and the X button for brake, PS2 style. Why? The triggers have far too much "throw" between off and full. The buttons have shorter throw but can still be modulated. The Xbox that I play on is set up with buttons and I can dominate Forza. The other Xbox in the house is set up with triggers....and I'm blowing doughnuts and overshooting braking areas to the point where I can't play. It might work for you, it might not, but give it a try incase it does. Use an automatic tranny too. Later on you'll have enough to worry about besides shift points.
The game actually gets way easier later on, since you learn the braking points and lines until they become second nature.

I dont have much experience with the diriveatars but I am at 85% complete (level 50) on hard. I would say just to suck it up and do it yourself. If you are good enough to have the driveatar % as high as 75 you should be able to beat the race. Just stick with it and you'll get it eventually.
Good luck and keep at it,

PS: Just wait till you get to the corvette and corevtte/viper races. These are re-diclously hard. Good luck. :P

I just got this game last week (for free :D )
So far it is an awesome game. It reminds me alot of Gran Turismo 3 ??
What are your favorite cars and tracks to race on ? Do you make all your cars look the same of have a specific set of sponsor stickers you always set on your cars ?
I like getting a new care and spending the time to make it look like the rest of the cars in my garage unless it is a special edition car.
I have not used the drivitar system yet , but it sounds interesting :) Any suggestions for car set up ? I have not touched my springs or gear ratio on my cars yet.
I mean I figure to run tall gears in order to get max speed on a long track with minimal turns , but how does the ride hieght affect handling and speed aspects ?
Thanks for any help ;)

I would san NOT to mess with the car set-ups untill you are VERY farmillar with the car. To judge a change you have to be able to tell the difference. Even, then make only minor changes to one or two things at a time. Most of the time, changing a set-up will hurt a cars performance.

thanks for the tips I will test them out the house tonite.
MY ride height might be my problem sence I usually slam the all .
I already have a built vette for those vette/viper races sence I cant buy a viper yet.
