O_O Could someone please take a moment to assist me with using the Sega Saturn Memory Card (8 MB) we recently purchased? There were no instructions with the cartridge, but we did see a "Memory Management" console pop up a little while after inserting it. I am not sure how to use it and that is why I am seeking any help we can get.
How can my son save game levels or scores to it?
If you are not familiar with the use of the memory card but know of someone or somewhere that is, please write to us by email at: rwmac22@earthlink.net?
Thank You very much for your time in reading and hopefully responding to our request!!

What is the brand name of the card exactly. Exactly please.

I have an Interact card that is utter garbage. It does not function with my saturn at all, and is not round enough to use as a drink coaster. Therefore Trash.

Google a copy of the Saturn FAQ for details on the vagaries and pitfalls of saturn Cards. I still don't own one. :-(

Oops I did not see this here earlier. I'll lock my topic.

Thanks for replying to this person, BTW! :)

Out of curiousity, how many people did you e-mail privately looking for information? Thus far, including myself, I count 4 or 5. Plus you posted this query. I know you'd like the info post-haste, but blanketing everyone and everything with your request is borderline obnoxious. Please refrain from that. Thanks.

I dunno if someone has answered your questions via PM already, but in case they haven't, I'd just like to say that there are no memory cards" for Sega Saturn, only RAM "carts". The big difference is that the cart must be plugged in before you turn on the system in order to be recognized. You cannot leave the cart out and put it in only when you want to save, as you might do with a Playstation (2)/X-Box/Gamecube/Dreamcast memory card. Also, you don't absolutely need a memory card to save, you can use the internal battery as long as it is not dead. Check the back of the Saturn, it is behind a little snap door.

O_O In response to Sniderman's reply and comment. I do apologize! I was not trying to be obnoxious or pushy. However, I only have 1 week to return the cartridge if it didn't work. Considering past message board experiences (see below) I was only expecting to get 1 response to my multiple requests. I did not expect to receive the kind genre responses that have come from the digitpress forum. So many times before (on other message boards) it took weeks to receive even 1 response. Your forum is not as typical. The people there are very kind and helpful.
Again, I do apologize and hope everyone will understand?

No problem Mac, and no offense taken. If you need advice, just remember we're here 24/7. (That's 24 days a month, 7 months a year...) :D
