Can anyone tell me if the US version of Gunbird 2 for the DC is different than the JPN version. I'm looking to pick up a copy to replace my PS2 port and would like to know which to get.

I'd go with the english version myself. After all, I'm almost 100 percent sure they're the same game whatever region you decide to buy it from. I can tell you right now that both the American and Japanese version have the exact same levels and hidden characters, so you may as well buy the cheaper of the two.

Thanks for the info. If this is the case then I will buy the American version, so if anyone has one cheap, you know where to find me ;)

I'm pretty sure I recall hearing about some small changes to the Us version, specifically dealing with one of the more well-endowed characters(Female pirate) in the cutscenes. Something about the screen panning up quicker or other such nonsense.

I owned them both for a time.

Yes, the screen pans up a lot quicker in that scene... not that you can see anything in the first place. Plus the Japanese version has voices in the cutscenes - and there's some interesting stuff in the manual and jewel case insert. Some very interesting Engrish that I can't recall off the top of my head.

Other than that, they're basically the same.

Yeah, the artwork on cd, cover and book of japanese version is better and very nice
