Every good idea I've ever had has been stolen and used somewhere else (or will be). I guess that means I should feel really flattered but after awhile it gets a little irritating.
Thinking back to those Ariel pictures from years ago... remember the uproar it caused? There was even some NES fansite that called a "jihad" on Digital Press. Funny how years later when the idea is "stale" there's no outrage either.

For those of you who weren't there, you really didn't miss much. Basically some guys who ran one of the million or so crappy NES worship sites got their knickers in a twist because DP had a naked chick posing with an NES. There's fanboyism, and then there's totally over the top, batshit crazy fanboyism where you start foaming at the mouth because you feel your console wasn't shown proper reverence. This, of course, was the latter and we all had a few laughs over it and I'm sure whatever site it was now proudly displays a big "Sorry, the page you requested was not found" if you try to access it.

And really, why not get more creative with the cart in the slot, as opposed to Zelda? Maybe something rare and/or valuable like a competition cart? Dude, it's just the bane of the creative type. Only the best get their stuff stolen.
I once heard that someone stole an entire magazine's worth of ideas to form another similar magazine. Even used the same authors and article names in some cases. Now imagine that. :)
