Just like the title says. It doesn't matter what it is. I believe mine would have to be my complete boxed Odyssey along with 6 complete boxed games that came with it.

Hmm... I would have to say that the oldest system I currently own is a boxed Atari 2600 heavy sixer with several original boxed games:
Slot Machine
Space War
Combat
Video Olympics
Outlaw
Air-Sea Battle
and
Casino
I have more games for the system, but those above were around when it was introduced. ^_^

Definitely my Atari 2600. However, if you're talking system that I've owned the longest, it would be my NES (which I got Christmas of 1988). I had a 2600 when I was 5 (1985) but it broke down and was given away.

Wonder Wizard
Tele-Match 4
Concert Hall IV
Unisonic Tournament 100
APF TV Fun
Coleco Telstar Alpha
and the Fairchild Channel F
Yeah... I play them every day. Right.

from collecting for my collection it would be one of the PONG systems by atari or clone PONG systems ..
from my childhood my first system was an atari PONG system (prototype) as my uncle worked at atari from when it started and stayed there for a several years then moved onto the showbiz (chuck e. cheese) business .. sadly don't know where he is ! darn it ... (would like to ask him more information about atari and his experience with atari oh well )
my first cartridge based system was tandyvision which I got for christmas of 1982. I actually bugged my parents to get me an atari 2600 but after i saw my friend's colecovision. I had to have that one so i bugged my dad to get me a colecovision but he got me a tandyvision instead  to this day i figured out why he got it instead of colecovision it was so he could use his damn radio shack credit card :( but 6 ,months later he got me a coleco vision yay yes :D to this day we still have the tandyvision and my original colecovision !!!

My Odyssey 300 (1975) predates all my other systems. The neat thing is that I won it as a door prize at the OKGE (and it was donated by Earl no less...! :))

My Telegames Super Pong IV. It's common, but hey, it's still pong baby.
I assume you mean the system that I've owned the longest and not necessarily the oldest system.
My jungle green Funtastics N64.

Intellivision.
If you mean the one I've owned the longest, it would be the Xbox. Been a PC gamer for most of my life. I did have an Intellivision when it first came out, but it's not the same one as now.

Of what I have now, my Odyssey systems are the oldest. (1972) I'm selling all soon, so then the title will shift to my Odyssey 100 (1975).
The system that I've had the longest would be, hmm, my Game Boy Color (purple) which I got in 1997. I only ever had Pokemon Blue for it, until about a year ago when I got a GBA and grabbed a few more GBC titles.
The console that I've owned the longest: a Dual Shock Playstation which I got, new, the summer of 2000.

Atari 2600. It happens to be the same one we got "back in the day", although I only recently rescued it from my brother's attic. Unfortunately, I need to open her up and re-solder the connection to where the power supply plugs in. :(
I'd been using the 7800 (my sister-in-law's that I liberated from my brother's garage) to play my 2600 games lately, at least until I started playing a lot of them on Atari Anthology on my PS2.

My oldest system is the NES. The system I've had the longest is the N64 (X-Mas 2000), since the NES and Genesis are replacements for the ones I lost as a child and the other systems aren't that old and even if they were I only got them like 2 or 3 years ago.
It's not fair, cuz my boyfriend FOUND a 2600 with like, 20 boxed games, 2 joysticks, a catalog AND the warranty card! And the box sits in his closet. He refuses to hook it up because he wants to "preserve it" even though I argue with him that it's still possible to play a system and preserve it. I told him once we get our own place together it's getting hooked up or there'll be hell to pay.
Also, his friend bought a Channel F on ebay. He's another one that won't play it, he just has it for the sake of having it. He refuses to sell it to me too. Bastard.

My SNES is the system I've owned the longest, but the NES is my oldest console (which was my first console, but my original was sold). Yeah yeah, I know, some people think of collectors without pre-NES systems as newbs or something of that sort, but considering I always keep a look out for pre-NES systems when I go hunting and have yet to come across a single one, it's of no fault of mine that I don't have one yet so I'm not gonna be ashamed.
I do, however, have a Donkey Kong table top that was bought by my family when it was brand new.

That's the spirit! Give 'im hell! LOL And once he's good and moved in, tell him that it's gonna take some "Combat" to get you in the mood. He might come to regret not letting you play with his joysticks.
Also, his friend bought a Channel F on ebay. He's another one that won't play it, he just has it for the sake of having it. He refuses to sell it to me too. Bastard.
Well, if it's any consolation, nobody seems to think too highly of the gameplay experience available from the Channel F. So, apparently you're not missing out on much. Still. What a doof.

The oldest in terms of years is the 2600, but my SMS has been in my possession the longest.
I had a 2600 as a kid, but I gave it (and like 50 games) to my cousin when we got our SMS. :(
I always wonder if she still has it. I would like to ask her, but I feel funny asking about it because we don't see each other that much. I know she had it in 2000 because I saw it in her basement when we were playing N64.

My oldest Game machine is one of my PONG Units.
It's either my Telstar PONG Unit, or my Sears Tele-Games Hockey-Jokari PONG Unit. I don't know wich one is older, though (They were both made in 1976)

The oldest system I own it would be an Atari 2600 (CX-2600 A) released in 1980.

Definitly my Atari 2600. Still have the majority of my games for it, except maybe a couple I traded/sold. Oldest system I got and right now I think the one I have the most titles for considering my Activision collection.

I'm gonna go ahead and add a little more info on my behalf. The first system I ever got was a 2600 Vader back in the day. Then My dad gave it to my cousins in Mexico and bought me an Atari 2600 JR. A little bit later I got an NES for my birthday, it was the deluxe set with R.O.B. Since then I've bought many systems and games and yes I still have my 2600 JR. and NES(complete) As a matter of fact, every system I have ever bought new is still complete with all paperwork. The exception is the 2600 JR., ironically I still have the box for the Vader.

I have a crapload of various pong systems too.
I guess the system Iv've had the longest is my VCS my family got back in 82 or 83.
