Ever play Scrabble? The 'Q' tile is worth a lot of points because it's a letter nobody hardly uses. Hell, even 'X' gets more play than 'Q'.
Well, today take a moment to pay homage to the letter 'Q' by stating some of your favorite games whose titles that begin with it.
Quackshot is one of my favorite Genesis games.

I remember the first time I played it at a friend's house since it was during a snowy Friday and school was cancelled (three day weekend! :D). I had all day Saturday and Sunday to play.

Dude, OF COURSE it's Q*Bert. I love that game. It was actually one of the first games I ever played, and it was on an Atari 5200.
Another would be Qix, which I also think is a great game.
I actuallly used both of these games in the MAME tourney if I'm not mistaken...
Chris
EDIT: I'll have to keep an eye out o.O for Quackshot.

Quake games, and then Quackshot. That game is seriously awesome. I had it back in the day when I traded all my Genesis stuff in, but I made sure to get it back with the beginning of the collection, and I couldn't be happier with the plan.

More votes here for Qix, Q*Bert, and Q*Bert's Qubes. Fantastic games, and pretty unique games to boot. When you want to play Q*Bert...you really can't play anything instead of Q*Bert. LOL

I don't think I've ever played a game that begins with the letter 'Q'.
Oh, and you can add Quest 64 and its gameboy analog to the list, although they're complete trash.

My favorites are Qix for the Game Boy and Qix Neo for PSX.
Believe it or not, I've never played Q*Bert. :embarrassed:

The only game I've played that starts with that letter is Q*Bert, so that would be my favourite by default.

I am surprised no one has mentioned Quest for the Rings! for the Odyssey2. Where are all the O2 fanboys?

Like many others, Q*bert, Quartet, Quake and Qix are top picks.
I used to think Quarantine was a cool game although I suspect it hasn't aged well.

By far, the 1983 Atari arcade game Quantum is my fav Q game. I only ever played it on one machine back in the day, but the arcade was close and I played it a lot.
Unfortunately, it was not very popular, and with the imminent collapse of Atari (as well as the arcade industry in general), the game sank into obscurity and I doubted that I would ever get the chance to play it again. :(
For those unfamiliar, the game features a star-like icon that trails a line as you move it around the screen with a track ball. The object is encircle various items (said to be subatomic particles), which then explodes and registers points. Once you have captured the required items the level moves up and you repeat the process against faster moving items with an icon that trails a shorter & shorter line.
From the first time I saw a computer mouse in operation, a part of me always expected someone to make a PC clone of the game. IMHO, it could have made a great translation, but as far as I know, it never happened. x_x
But anyway, fast forward 20 years or so, I read an article about Star Roms and learn of this thing called MAME. By the next day, I have quantum.zip and a copy of MacMAME. WOW, was I impressed. :-P
It turns out the game is a bit easier with mouse control but still lots of fun. And I will never forget the day my memories came back to life on the screen of my Mac. 8-)
