I didn't see this posted yet, sorry if it was. Mods do your thing if you need to. :)

"SPOnG can finally confirm the date by which the world will be relieved of the constant burden of wondering about what Nintendo’s Revolution controller actually is.

You’ll be pleased to know that a full explanation of Revolution will be made by Nintendo president Satoru Iwata during his Tokyo Game Show keynote address. This news represents completely finalised Nintendo plans – Iwata will fully outline The Secret on 16th September 2005.

Nintendo is assembling key media to attend this year’s show, due to take place between 16th – 18th September 2005. Iwata will make his presentation of current activities at Nintendo. He will outline current projects and will then - unveil the Revolution in all its glory.

The Revolution presentation will include an explicit outline of the hardware and its controller and input mechanic, as well as illustrate exactly how it will work. It will go on to show games running on the system and how they make use of the technology.

Mario 128, or ‘New Mario’ as it is dubbed internally at Nintendo, is expected to be the star of the show.

SPOnG has a record of perfectly outlining what Iwata’s keynote addresses will entail. And we can tell you with 100% certainty that in the next three and a bit weeks, we’ll all be looking at Nintendo Revolution controller hardware and accompanying games. Exciting times indeed.

We’ll bring you updates as they break, as well as Tokyo Game Show coverage direct from the show floor. Let us know what you think, and drop any questions for SPOnG’s editorial staff in the forum below."

It was a good controller, it just had... flaws...

This is truly good news, we'll see how it compares to the other new systems.

YEAHHH ! I hope this is true, and I hope they didn't add another touch screen thing - although it can be done well, I dont feel thats very revolutionary since we got a DS.

Good news though, and im looking forward to seing the REV and all its glory.

Guys, SPOnG's entire news philosophy is to make up stories that seem kinda likely and hope that they're true. They don't HAVE any secret sources, they don't KNOW what Iwata is going to say, they just decided that Tokyo Game Show seems like a good place to show off the Rev's controller, and made up a bullshit news story around it. So don't get excited over this or any of the other bile they spit out every day.

I'll have to "third" this comment. This is coming from SPOnG. When Matt over at IGNCube says something to this effect then maybe I'll get my hopes up. All being said, I check SPOnG everyday just to see what they'll say. Good fun!

God I had to register to respond to this one. Where I come from, saying "XYZ makes stuff up" is call libel. You work for a rival website? Besides I just dont get your attitude. News seems to be pretty solid and some pretty interesting interviews recently

Anyway, I read (on Spong, so maybe they made it up!) that there was a Nintendo press junket in London yesterday , so its not a big leap to figure they found this news out from a blabbermouthed PR drone.

My industry insiders who are totally anonymous and secret but I swear to god real inform me that internet user "spadgebomb" aka "spadger," resident of Lawyerspeak, USA, is unable to reach a state of erection without the aid of a sexual partner role-playing as an anthropomorphic being with the body of a chihuahua and the voice of his mother. Hahaha, shit. I was all riled up, and you went ahead and said it for me!

While I feel for spadger, Spong has... uhh, a history of doing exactly what TheRedEye said. LOL That said, the odds of this happening are relatively high...

You know, please don’t throw the legal garbage in our faces. This is a web forum, not People magazine. We can say what we want here (within reason), this is a private, semi-closed forum so get over it. You don’t like what RedEye had to say?

Go somewhere else.

Besides, seems to me you’re just a lurker anyway.

Just when I think that Nintendo has finally got out of its "uninventive stage" by developing a ground-breakingly new console termed 'Revolution,' they come out with a came called 'Mario 128'

They've been working on that game for a few years actually.

Yeah, I know. I was wondering if somebody was going to say something about that. Wasn't that 'supposed' to be the launch title for the Gamecube. I forget.
I remember reading a website dedicated to "Mario 128."
My joke was merely at the fact of the name of the game.
