Hey all,
Hopefully this is the right place to put this.

I just got my Policenauts (PSone books edition) delivered today. Great game.
Anyways, i need some advice. When i first opened the case i immediately noticed that disc 2 had sorta like a patch of white 'graze' near one part of the outer end of the disc. I've tried wiping it off and using a cd cleaner, but it does not come off. I'm thinking that its actually embedded behind the surface on the information itself but i can't tell.
My question is, will this affect my gameplay later on and do these kinds of 'grazing' occur on first hand purchases?

If you could post a picture it might help.

Its hard to tell if its going to affect play, it might depend on how dark it is ect.

CD's in general dont allways look perfect, and you can see 'water' type marks on the undersides and it doesnt affect play there. You might need to get into the second disc to actually find out if its going to cause an error (and maybe even farther depending on the info stored in there and its place on the game).

Anyways i've added 2 pics: one is what the disc should be like and the other is with the graze. Do note that there was no way i could get the camera to see the white graze over the black underside of the ps1 disc as the ps1 disc so i had to use the camera flash (hence the reflection).

Without the graze

With the graze (not as bad as it looks in real life)

I've tested disc 2 and it boots, but i won't know if there will be errors later on.
Oh and those particles you see on the 2nd image is actually the liquid from the cd cleaner.

No, clue, never seen that on a PS disc before. Ya might get to try and play it to see if theres gonna be an issue. I dont know of anything specific that you could do otherwise that you've not already tried.

Good luck!!!!

The discs data is written from the inside of the disc to the outside . So there may not even be any data there. So it may be alright. :)

It was new and sealed.
I had intended to keep it that way but the second disc was loose and i had to open it. That marking could be a manufacturing error i suppose.
