Hey,

When browsing DP, i saw a link on the right hand side of the home page, to a site called; www.japangamestock.com, i was wondering if anyone has ever purchased anything from there before, and is it a worthwhile site.

thanks, Muzer :eek 2:

Yep, I bought a JP dreamcast system there. The packing was cool ( I got JP newspaper!!! LOL)

and the box was in great condition. System was cheap, but shipping from JP is really expensive. (usually is)

=) It plays so awesome. The description implied it was just the core, but it did come w/ AV and AC cable.

I was a very happy camper that day... to bad I can't afford to shop like that every day.

I just ordered some stuff a couple weeks ago. I got 2 Saturn games and 1 Famicom game. Everything arrived quickly and was in mint condition. Good thing too, cause most of the stuff I still want is decently priced. I'm definitely going to buy from them again.

This doesn't really belong in B&S, so I'm going to go ahead and move it on over to VG. Hopefully you'll get some more feedback here.

Glad I don't head to the main page too often, I've always been told this site doesn't support affiliate advertising.

Anyone you see on DP's home page "affiliates" are bona fide, top-notch businesses that we not only approve but highly recommend.

'nuff said.

Anyone see the bounty they posted (http://www.japangamestock.com/bounty.php) for a deadbeat buyer:

"Your mission will be by any methods to get him to pay that amount of money to us..Call him..visit him Make him pay by ANY methods"

Yeah, and I think it's pretty lame. Why send out that much stuff w/o waiting for the payment to clear? Who's fault is that exactly? You can't complain that someone shoplifts from you if you're sitting there asleep. I also think posting someone's personal information is not only wrong but possibly illegal, certainly if you're encouraging people to harass and harm that person. Not cool at all, imo. I'd never buy from them... but then I also find their prices to be stupid, so there ya go.

Yeah, I think the bounty is a little excessive.

Their shipping prices are extraordinarily high, they must make so much just by overcharging for shipping.

Ditto. I bought a rare 3DO game from them for a super reasonable price and had no problems at all.

I guess it must all depend on what you're looking for. I just browsed and the common games that I know the prices of off the top of my head seem excessive. I have no idea what the more uncommon/expensive titles generally sell for, so maybe they have great prices for that. No idea.

I purchased a Neo Geo CD controller, and some Games Express games. They are easy to deal with, and almost always have good prices.

You do need to watch the shipping charges, though. They get really expensive on larger objects. This isn't their fault, just something to be aware of.

Good place, but their prices KEEP rising (faster than other it seems at times). Shipping can be a tad high, but they DEF pack well (MANY japanese shops seem to way overcharge on shipping).

Decent place to buy from, though I'm not sure i want to do business with them after this bounty business and the way their owner acted towards us.

I've bought from them previously as well, but now I'm second-thoughting any new purchases. I don't personally like the thought of personal information being posted, nor hatred being spouted from the owner to anonymous, unrelated customers.

I don't know if I would buy from them either. The website looks a shade light of legit. It looks like something I would have designed in '89 while sitting in my mom's basement. With all the flashing text and such!
