I got an Original Model PS2 Yesterday and i was wondering is it worth it to get a Hard Drive for it?

If you plan on playing Final Fantasy XI, yes. If not, I wouldn't bother unless you want to use it as a save dump.

The PS2 Harddrive was going to be this huge thing. Sony claimed that you were going to be able to surf the net with the HDD and net adaptor there were also buzz about downloadable content and movies that could be streamed.
But none of that happened
and correct me if I am wrong but I think the only games that work with it are RE:Outbreak and Final Fantasy Online?
you could,
Consider HD loader which allows you to burn games to the HDD.
But I wouldn't bother with it.

For what its worth, I hear RE:Outbreak 2 also supports the HD. Wouldn't be surprised if 3 did as well. It shortens the load time. I use mine seldom, if ever because my wife is always playing FFXI. I barely remember what my PS2 looks like.

The PS2 HDD is basically a dud. The only games that i know that support it are: FFXI, RE: Outbreak, RE:Outbreak File#2, and the lastest RPG maker. There's probably more, but that's all that i know.
The only good use for it, is to get HD Advance and use it for running games off the HDD.
