These "new" lot of sealed psx rhapsody and psx persona 2 are really legit? They are really an official reprint?
I really don't believe on it, it looks like an excellent imitation, an home reprint, due the high demand of these very rare titles like the situation of sapphire on pc engine
Anyone have an official information about these reprints?
One seller from ebay said that Atlus holded a great lot of these two games and only put to sell now to got money for new projects, taking advantage of high rarity of these games today
I found the information of home reprint of sapphire only today in this forum, very surprising
If this post was already talked before plz give me the post link to check, thanks

I don't know about these two, but at the Gamestop near me I just found 6 sealed copies of Super Puzzle Fighter Turbo. WTF?! I've never heard of a reissue, and even if there was, it would have been years ago. How they ended up with these has got to be some sort of mystery of the ages.

Just old stock that were buried in warehouses and recently surfaced, not a reprint.

THe Rhapsody and PERSONA 2s ARE REPRINTS. Puzzle Fighter I am not sure, but I know Pocket Fighter was reprinted as well.

This is crazy. I never intended to pick up either game but if this will drive prices down I might have to dedicate a chunk of my security deposit to them.
How the crap did they get reprinted?
It also looks like Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne got a reprint as well, along with it's Strat guide... what the hell?

My local gamestore also got several copies of Super Puzzle Fighter Turbo, and a number of others including Super Pocket Fighter Turbo and Harvest Moon: Back to Nature.

It seems atlus is coming out of the closet X_x
More sealed copies of harvest moon? Perhaps because of the new HM games that have been released?

I bought Rhapsody for $50, probably too much for a reprint, but beats the ebay price I have been looking at for a couple years. Seems identical to the original accept the plastic wrapper and seal.
Anyone no why these reprints are released under the radar? Someone did suggest (somewhere) that many of these games were reprinted by request, and under the condition that a minimum number were purchased (wholesale). Are these reprints simply along the same lines a s the Final Fantasy and Castlevania reprints?
Any ideas?

I'm still going to stick to my prior belief that these are 'defects' reshrunk and resold. No they are not defective, but places back then (when these were released originally) were able to return product to vendors for credit when tagged defective. I dont feel that such a no-name site would have the clout to get 2 not massivly popular releases re-printed after all these years. Its just not something that happens. However resealing product thats lying around and selling it to someone who only handles 'new' product purchased directly from publisher stock isnt uncommon. My indy store got stuff from Capcom like that all the time, some sealed (original seals) others were reshrinks that came from either Capcom, or from when they were returned.
I can say for sure that the Capcom Super Puzzle Fighter 2's that re-surfaced were nothing more than a backstock blowout from Capcom.
But either way they are legit copies of the games, put back into the pool by the publisher. Ya cant ask for more than that.

I couldn't have picked a worse time to have negative money. This is awesome, and it completely blows at the same time :(

Actually gamequestdirect isnt a total no name site imo. I've been buying a few games here and there from them since mid-late 2003 so they have been reliable for at least 2 years and they had quite a large selection when i first found out about them. Given the fact that they mostly are a good place to go for rare games I dont doubt the legitimacy of these games being newly printed ones. I've picked up uncommon to rare games from them on many occasions and had not been wronged by them yet (I am very anal about making sure every game I buy was first owned by me and never anyone else before me... thats why i RARELY by from gamestop or ebgames in store.
Anyway I have picked up such games as gauntlet dark legacy for gcn, unison, resident evil code veronica (gcn), etc from them (i honestly dont remember some of my other specific purchases from them at this moment) I do know i have gotten a lot of uncommon and some rare games from them though and got all of them perfectly sealed and in the good kind iof shrinkwrap and such not the suspicious kind that comes on games that were either resealed or just originally released in poor shrinkwrap (top spin tennis for xbox came out in crappy shrinkwrap and I had it one day after its release for the xbox off the internet)
I have almost never gotten screwed by buying games online but i do know the type of things gamestops and such do in stores. One time though I bought a copy of the great escape from ebgames.com (a new copy) and they sent me a resealed copy it angered me to no end and they let me keep the used copy and sent me a new copy to keep as well (while crediting half the money i spent back to my account) They probably saw how much money i spend there lol or something like that. What stood out to me though about it being used was not only the poor job they did at shrinkwrapping it but.... they had the nerve to send it to me without even putting the security sticker back on right LOL it was upside down. *poor attempt to screw a customer imo*
Anyway in all my years shopping with ebgames.com that one used game sent to me as new was their only slip up and they corrected it right away. Gamestop.com however has a problem with getting my orders wrong, at least half the time i pre-order a game they end up forgetting to send me my pre-order bonus or it ends up on the shipping receipt and not in the package when it reaches my house. I think I have had to call them 20 times in the last two months just to have orders correct (they always fix it but my god there is always a lot to be fixed) That is no exaggeration either.
Anyway I rambled on for far to long lol I shall end this post now.
