I guess with the downtime this game got forgotten so here's a thread.

I picked this up the other day and I must say I am highly impressed. It's perfect! The controls are perfect. The emulation is perfect. It's almost 100% arcade perfect. Only a couple small changes were made I believe. I am in love.

I deeply hope for a sequel that includes the remainder of the forgotten games. Like the Pole Positions and the other two Rolling Thunder games as well as that dragon SHMUP.

I think I figured it out. I don't like classic games on a TV console. I do love them on a portable. So now that I know that, I will only buy portable versions from now on. Let's hope other companies take Namco's lead and make great arcade compilations to end all arcade compilations. Midway's already making a Treasures for the PSP, let's see if Sega, Capcom and Taito and Konami follow suit.

I'm liking this game quite a bit. It's definitely well done. And, it's nice to see some extra stuff for the North American fans. I love Rolling Thunder! The only thing that's missing is Galaga 88. :(

I picked this game up yesterday and I am in love. It is perfect for those times where I have 5 minutes to kill. Pac Man wherever and whenever I want.. something I have wanted since I was a kid.

any "hidden" titles on the umd?

i haven't come across any cheats for it yet (still too new!)

Doesn't look like there's any hidden games yet. Would be nice if they had the other Rolling Thunder's and the two Pole Position's hidden. But I doubt it. So here's hoping this does well enough to warrant another well done sequel with the rest of the good games.

Side note: I'm actually considering trading in my rarely played Midway Arcade Treasures for the Xbox (Which I actually reserved on a whim one day and got a neat Spy Hunter 2 motorcycle.) when the PSP version comes out. Seems I get more of a craving to play an old classic when I'm lounging around. Not when I'm all set up in front of the TV. So put it on a portable and I'll cheer. [Prays for a Sega collection, a Taito collection and a Konami collection to make its way to the PSP.]

Definitely my next PSP purchase. Vertical mode sounds hot.

i gotta say im kinda disapointed by it, has anyone but me noticed that ms. pac is much harder then the normal arcade version? and i also HATE the controls on ms. pac its really hard to get it right,, a lot of the other games seem cool. I also was very mad that i wasn't able to play it the second i bought it and had to wait ALL day with it burning a hole in my pocket before i could get home and plug in my psp to Update LAMEEEE

A quick note for anyone who wants to play Battle Collection, but doesn't want to update his 1.5 firmware to 1.52 and lose homebrews and emus. Download version 2.5 of WAB Version Changer, which tricks your 1.5 PSP into booting UMD games that require 1.52 firmware, including Battle Collection.

With any luck, we'll see this PSP have a library of retro stuff AND turn-based RPGs.

If there's any genre that I miss dearly, it's the turn-based RPGs.

If there's any genre that I miss dearly, it's the turn-based RPGs.I'm praying for a Sega collection (Especially a Sonic Mega Collection. The PSP is PERFECT for on the go Sonic.) and a Capcom collection and Konami collection (The TMNT arcade games would kick so much ass. And a portable version of Bells & Whistles/Pop 'n' Twinbee would make me just die.) to go with the already coming (And I hope it doesn't suck) Midway Arcade Treasures for the PSP. Oh, and mustn't forget Atari. They gotta get it right sometime.

In fact, I will go on to say I will be happy if the only games made for the PSP are just rereleases of classic 2D arcade games. Because most of the time they're much more fun than the latest 3D games are. Speaking of which, how's Death Jr.?

Alright, Namco. We love your latest compilation, now give us a sequel to let us have the rest of the games. Especially Dragon Spirit, that game looks like it could be fun.
