meh, pretty much a hacked together piece. Wouldn't be comfortable or very practical to use.

Not the most functional idea, but very cool nonetheless.

Damn it!
I was hoping for either a nes mouse prototype or a nes mouse mod that could actually work with your nes. I'd love to have a mouse to use with deja vu and maniac mansion.

Now THAT is a very good idea! I wonder if it would be possible to hack together a mouse to function with the NES. But then again, that may require even modding the system itself?????????????? @_@ @_@

My goodness, that looks very uncomfortable. I would never use that as a mouse.
By the way, my upstairs computer has the pictured logitech mouse. :)

Yep. Same here, Oak. I suppose via emulation the analog control stick will do it, but whatever.

Yah a mouse sure would rock for those point and click games (Shadowgate and the like)
Neat idea, but painful to use I'm sure!

Is an analog controller possible for the nes. They had a trackball for the 2600 but I'm sure the games were coded specifically for it.

Looks like kind of a neat idea, and no more less practical than some of the commercial options (link (http://www.lik-sang.com/info.php?category=11&products_id=7142&))

I thought exactly the same.

I was looking at the link and it suddenly popped into my head, what if you used a NES dogbone controller and held it on the side?
I think it would work, if i had a spare dogbone controller i would do it. Maybe on of you guys out there could mod one?!

What gives? Lets turn a Nintendo Controller into anything!?!!!
Belt Buckle!
Mouse!
Earrings!
James Caan!
etc...
when i first read the topic i thought he meant these:

although it makes me think one of those turbo touch pads might be neat to try though.

My god... Both of those are so horrible! Who he hell wants those unless they are sitting on a shelf for a video game / computer collector. There has to be another way to make those mice without all that disfunctional configuration that would cripple your hands.

So is the turbo touch an analog controller though? What about the arkanoid controller? There has to be at least one for the nes.

It was a cool idea but would be difficult to use.
