When do you think prices are going to start going all crazy for xmas...

I bet starting in Oct.

I think as soon as we start really feeling the economic impact from the hurricane we will be giving our stuff away.I could be wrong but I have a feeling Christmas shopping going to be at a minium....I have a bad feeling that the cost insurance companies will be paying out will be falling on us very hard and prices of everything will go thru the roof.

Last year I sold more in terms of dollars from October-December than the rest of the year combined. Prices started going up in October and peaked right after Thanksgiving-first 2 weeks in December. December was my best selling month last year. I was shipping everyday and I had a real hard time keeping up with shipments but I did. I was making more than 1 trip to the post office on some days.

This year game prices are down from last year. Once gas prices hit $2 a gallon I saw a big pullback on prices. I finally saw some improvement with sales in August but things have been slow since Katrina hit. I am sure that Katrina will impact the economy through the end of the year but there are still several wealthy people who will pay for items no matter what the price is. I had mostly wives and mothers buying from me last Christmas. The rest of the year I would say that about 90% of my buyers are men.
