That Bookman's place rocks, putting my favorite store, the Book Broker, to shame.
Nice find.
Mine is RE3 for the Cube for $20. Big deal, right? Big deal for my boyfriend who now has a complete revamped RE collection. Huzzah!

Was out all night. Woke up this morning and felt like starting up the new thread instead of posting in the old one. Sorry if you lose any sleep over it.

Have you ever been to the Bookman's stores out here? They're pretty damn sweet. I'm big into pc collecting, and they always got an excellent selection of old software.

Gradius 3 & 4, $11 CIB, Beautiful condition, just gotta get a new DVD case.
Other than that, got a free working TG-16 with Bonk's Adventure, Revenge, and Kieth Courage.

Welp I have come across what I think is a great find. A lot of some 30 BRAND NEW Vectrex Games! Now I just gotta decide what exactly to do with them. I'll keep one of each game to myself (Spike, Norzod, and Melody Master) and get rid of the others in some way, shape or form. Anybody?

Found those at a flea market in New Jersey actually through a guy a know. He had put them aside his truck waiting for somebody to come and appraise them. I offered him $50, he demanded at least $70 because I buy alot of stuff from him. I told him it was a deal if he threw in a NES Punchout cartridge. hehehe. As if I needed to sweeten the pot. So.. $70 for the lot. I'll keep two of each for myself, and sell the rest off. One to play, one to display/store and the rest will probably make me a few pennies. What the heck do I need with 10 copies of the same game?
Now.. should I EBAY them, sell them, trade them. I really don't know what I'm looking for. But if anybody has any offers, I'm all ears. I'll probably be dinking them off one at a time on Eballs over the next month or 2.

Goodwill Hunter
09-06-2005, 12:08 AM
Found these last week during the outage...
2600 Sears Superman $1.00...First 2600 cart I've found that I needed this year.
Stopped in at a Goodwill near my house....nothing on the cart shelves, but hiding in the
clock radios was a copy of 32x Virtua Fighter. Complete and only $1.99 I picked it up
for the tradebox. Further down the shelves I saw a small stack of 32x titles...must be a
new guy unloading the carts. Passed on Doom and Virtua Racing, picked up Star Wars,
and what was at the bottom but a complete and in great condition Spiderman Web of Fire!
http://img387.imageshack.us/img387/1185/32x9rj.jpg
At $1.99 like the others, you know I picked it up...was bummed to find DP down when I
got home, had to wait until now to brag...my best find of the summer!

Dude that is one serious find!!! X_x
I barely ever see loose vectrex games let alone sealed ones. You have some serious money/trade bait right there based on the DP guide. How many copies of Melody master did you get??? It's finds like these that keep me hunting. Congrats!!
P.S. Wait till that guy who was going to appraise the stuff tells that dealer what they were worth. Boy will he be pissed.

To be honest, I've NEVER seen Vectrex stuff of any type in the wild yet. This is the first time I stumbled across Vectrex software and boy did I stumble onto a nice lot. They are all brand new, altho there is no plastic around them. I can only assume that they didn't use plastic for Vectrex games. Can anybody out there confirm that for me? Because these are without a doubt mostly completely unused and opened. No dings in the box, no creasing where the flaps come apart, etc. No signs of ever being opened, and in their original shipping boxes.
As for Melody Master, unfortunately there is only 1 complete, new copy in this bunch. However whoever had these managed to throw about 7 more loose ones with the manuals into a seperate cardboard box. So all together 8 copies of Melody Master, one new and mint. I'll take it anyday of the week, and to be totally honest, I'm not sure the guy who was going to appraise them for him is much smarter than the guy who sold them to me. You don't find much in the way of intelligence around these parts.. Hence the good deals ;)

Traded in some stuff in at GameStation and picked these up:
Sega Rally - Saturn
Virtua Fighter 2 - Saturn
18 Wheeler - Dreamcast
Not rare or anything but I'm very excited as I just got my Saturn two days ago and a nice scart lead for it arrived in the post this morning and now I have 2 classics to start me off on Saturn gaming.
I'm happy with 18 Wheeler as well because I bought it some months ago on ebay and the disc was seriously scratched and wouldn't play so I returned it, so now have a working copy, woo!

I showed my support for innovative games and showed my distaste for Jack Thompson today by purchasing Killer 7 on the GCN. In an ironic twist, I broke the law while doing so because I'm 16 and bought an M rated game! OH NOES I MIGHT BECOME CORRUPTED! SHIELD MY EYES :/
Anyways, I also bought Pro Quarterback on the Genny for 99cents because of this wierd label on top. It is white with a yellow strip on it and it says THE BROWN DERBY in typed text. Was this added by someone and does it mean something (other than something to do with the Cleaveland Browns) or was it originally like this to begin with? Pics, if necessary.
$29.99 for Killer 7 and 0.99 for pro quarterback

the same thrift shop netted me another great find:
http://www.green-ranger.com/nes/finds/genesislot.jpg
the core system was 20$, but they had a 50% anything with a button (i think the sale was for clothes..but I bitched and got it for 10$)
I didn't have time to check the contents ,but when i got home I found it had all the regular stuff, unoppened manuals, and 2 extra 6 button pads :_))
I found shining force complete, seemingly unplayed cart (not a scratch and has that new game look!) with manaual for 5.
I found spidey and the mortal kombat book at the salavation army down the street for 2$ and 50 cents respectively
yeah a book based on a movie based on a game, keen!

The only thing I can think of is that the Brown Derby is a famous restaurant in L.A. I don't see what that would have to do with a Genny cart though.

I can only imagine how much those four games cost. never the less, good choices. And the main reason for my reply is to ask, what is an FSC Amilo M3438G (white thingy)?

Ok, I think Rich will be proud of me now. I got Ford Racing 2 for the Xbox at one Goodwill for $3 which isn't bad condiering it is a used Xbox game even though the game isn't rated that well. Than I picked up Future Tactics for PS2 for a $1 at Best Buy today. Than I picked up Spider-man Return Of The Sinister Six for NES at another goodwill today for $1. At another Goodwill I got RBI Baseball for NES for $.50. At half price books I found Jordan vs. Bird, Robocop, Mario Andretti World Grand Prix, and World Games for NES for $2 a piece. I also got Golf Grand Slam for NES for $1 there. Now here is the motherload at another Goodwill in town I got Mike Tyson Punch-out, Gradius, Rolling Thunder, Tennis, Double Dribble,Ghosts 'N Goblins, Top Gun, and MEGAMAN for NES all for $.50 a piece!!! They wantd $2 for Megaman but they gave it to me for $.50 Man was I surprised when I saw Megaman in with that mix. I was thumbs up all the way!!
