MAME Club -- Status/Regroup!

Over the past year, participation in the MAME Club has been steadily dwindling. It's been a long time since we've had a MAME Club post reach even two pages in length.

In order to rejuvenate the club, I'm taking the week off in order to do a bit of housecleaning and rethinking. I've got a couple of good ideas to breathe some life into the club, but I'm willing to listen to any ideas you guys have as well.

If you've got any ideas which you'd like to see implemented, please post here and rest assured your suggestions will be heard and considered. I can tell you one of the things I'm planning on implementing is a change in who gets to pick the ROMs we play, which will make it much more fun and interesting for the people who actually participate week to week. Another thing I've been thinking about is a weekly meseta contest, or possibly even awarding gifts from the online store.

More specifically, we're talking about having the people that participate the week before picking the ROMs. There are lots of people signed up to pick ROMs who haven't participated this YEAR.

How do I participate in this group? Like, do I have to get in a fight with an anonymous stranger and lose or something? Because I'd totally take the fall (in Street Fighter 2) if it ment that I could partake in the MAME club.

p.s. I run a ghetto pc so no PSX-spec or ST-V stuff for me :(
