I've been given permission by Tips & Tricks magazine to reproduce my Collector's Closet columns of a year or older.

That's great Joe. I just saved a copy and downsampled it to 150dpi and it took it from 9 Megs down to 1.4 Megs. It's still very legible. You may want to think about doing that. I can email it to you if you want. Just a suggestion.

Because of you Joe,the import part,fighting part and Cool Zone is why I spend a whole $12 a year on T&T.And the guides are not too bad either. :D 8-)

Hey, I'm still working on a method to get these as low in size but acceptable in quality as possible. CongoBongo has been able to get the file to 1.5mb but the best I've been able to do is 5.5mb. I may have a solution on this though, will try this out tomorrow!

And Christian, I'll have my camera with me on the 8th!

The 5 meg download didn't take me long to get on my dial-up last night, maybe less then a half-hour at most. Great artcicles and can't wait to read the others. Heck downloading the first CC gave me a chance to read some the other articles there too.

i don't have a problem with the size at all, im able to use the 150Mbit connection of my university :)

but i have the same problem, my mag scans are far too big, one mag about 60MB ouch :( any ideas? i want them in color and of course still in good quality

Yessir, those are the first ones. I just finished writing the June 2003 column - closing in on 2 years now! Time flies.

Excellent column!!!, itīs a mess that i can read it all months because iīm very far, but i have the one that i got interviewed and thatīs ok!!!...maybe i will be in T&T again some month... :D

Today's update adds several months of new content - though by agreement the archive is a year old. Still, this stuff is timeless, isn't it? Collectors worry not about the month, perhaps a bit about the year, and just a smidge about the decade :)
