Finally found a picture of the d*mn thing:
http://assembler.roarvgm.com/3do_blaster/3doblaster4.jpg
This was the controller that came with the 3DO Blaster card (hence the "Creative" logo). This controller however.. was also briefly sold by itself.. in it's own box.. minus the logo; and the box simply had "the 3DO controller" on the front (as opposed to "the 3DO controller 2" [the "butterfly" shaped one with curved lines]). I would absolutely KILL for a boxed, non-branded one. These were NOT Panasonic or Goldstar controllers and were manufactured by an un-specified 3rd party but actually labeled and branded by 3DO themselves.
If anyone has one and would part with it. Please let me know.
Just in..
Here's a link to what the box for this controller looked like:

This is actually a box for the "Control Pad 2" that I described earlier.. but this controller came in the same "kind" of box with a tinted picture of it (although I tend to recall a red tint instead of yellow) and minus the number 2 on the front.. obviously.
CR*P.. you'll have to cut & paste that top URL into your browser "open" dialog.. I just discovered the bastoids won't allow "off-site" linking. It might be worth your while though; as I'd pay BIG money for one of these.
