whats the current status for the guide?

Nothings been set in stone. Theres alot of backend work that has to be done to rebuild the guide. Its a very worthwhile investment to get the guidebooks. They've helped me numerous times in the wild when I find stuff, so I dont have to run home, and come back to see that they are gone.

has any one thought of a local app on a PC (a pocket pc would be awsome too) that mabe updated every once in a while for market changes/new additions?

Updates are still being made behind the scenes, it's just the web application that's broken.

Should be back in commission around September 16th when Adam is back in the USA.
