I bought a PS2 game on ebay some weeks ago fromand it was described as excellent condition. The seller is from USA, I live in Europe. When I recived it the disc had alot of scratches on it, even 2 big ones. So I tried to make a image of it just to see if it could read all sectors on the disc and not suprisingly it stopped. Gave me error at 67%.

The seller said I should return the disc only, not the box and manual and he would replace it. Im alittle sceptical to send the game back before reciving any sort of refund. Sending it signed for will cost about $15 and the seller will only cover shipping costs up to $3.50

The seller looks serious enough, 100% feedback, a few neutrals and he have sold around 1000 items.
But what if the game gets lost in the mail or he claims that he never recived the game?

Any ideas?

How much did you pay for the game? Is it worth 15.00 to send it back? Can you find another cheaper than 15.00? Can you still play the game? Could you use some sort of disk re-surfacing device to make the game playable? Lots of questions and more information is needed before making a intelligent response to your questions.

I payed about 35 for it. Its pretty much scratches, I dont have the knowledge to resurface the disc, besides it probly cost some cash. Cant find it cheaper i think. I dont want to have any expence sending it back since I got a game that doesnt work. If I have to send it with insurance the seller must pay.

But the thing is, if I send it with normal airmail and it get lost or the seller claims he doesnt get it, what do I do then?
Thanks for the help so far.

Maybe you should get a refund and buy another from another seller.

Did you tell the seller that it was scratched? It sounded like it may just get buffed and returned back to you again.
