Hey all,
I have a Double Pro Fighter dumper, which has a Megadrive dumping side thats roughly the same as a Super Magic Drive Plus. Now basically how do I get it so it detects my Sonic 3 cart? Everytime I insert the thing it comes up as 00Mbit and when I go to "RUN IC CARD" from the menu it complains that no card is inserted. It appears that it is protected somehow but how can I bypass this protection? It must be possible with old hardware like mine since there are SMD format roms of Sonic 3 on the net.

My DPF is slightly wierd, I can't dump games directly through the parallel port without first dumping part of the cart to disk, I'm still trying to figure out how I can get around this. But yeah any suggestions on how to bypass this protection is greatly appriciated!

Hmm... Try http://www.emulationzone.org/projects/s&k/ , specifically the links in the Thesis. They may help you.

I also like to suggest http://ucon64.sourceforge.net , which has some useful technical data and probably supports your copier, too.
