It's a valid question. Certain bestbuys ARE selling used games. There has even been reports on Cheapassgamer.com of certain best buys carrying used Atari games!! X_x I know that this was a test, and I don't know if they are continuing this promotion or not...

I stopped at a Best Buy in Merrillville, IN at the beginning of August, and it had a rack full of used games loose and boxed for 2600, INTV, Coleco, SMS, NES, Genesis, SNES, PSX, and even some disk games for the C64 & 400/800. I picked up a couple of loose GameGear games for $2.99 each, but forgot to mention it here.

Haven't seen used games in any other Best Buy since, however.

Nice benefit of working at a Best Buy and being scheduled at 6 A.M. Monday... Too bad Paper Mario is the only thing on that list I want that I didn't already buy within a week of these games coming out :/ .

On the subject of used games, yes, we have some test stores for that, but I think our pricing is a bit out of wack to really make it a profitable venture. I saw some price lists start printing in my store for used games (making me think there might be some more stores rolling this out this year), and there was an entry for PSX Unholy War at $24.99, and a couple lines up, PSX Tactics Ogre for $4.99. In summary, insane deals on some rarities, as long as you don't mind stopping in fairly frequently to make sure you catch them.

Arizona people, here's my research:

If you're gonna succeed at this, take a road trip up to Prescott. They have pretty much all these titles, and about 3-5 of each. No other store in the district has these games anymore. The closest you'll get without having to go that far north will be paradise valley. Don't even bother with the Arrowhead store where I work, it's just not worth your time ;D. Too bad all the good stuff is all the way in Prescott.

You had to talk to a manager or someone who could check into it for you if that happened (or if this happens to anyone else from here out).The employees had received this list only this morning so you'll need to speak with someone to get the right prices.

Damn this sucks...I had a feeling some of you'd guys score pretty well. I know for one, my store has not carried these games in probably 6-8 months. I can't remember the last time I saw a growlanser generations. Most of the games I checked for, our DC only had 1 or 2 MAYBE to give to any of the store =\. The new Prescott store about 90 - 120 miles north of me had like 3-5 copies of all these games. I think I'll check in RSS tonight and see if these prices are listed in there, seems kinda bogus to me.

I tried our best buy and just about every game that was posted for 4.99 was 9.99 and the 9.99 ones were 19.99 and most were out of stock..Maybe they were running the old bait and swith routine to get people in the stores.
