View Full Version : Do You Own Multiple Consoles?

What consoles do you have multiples of, and how did you acquire them?

Atari 2600 (5): I have five Ataris (not including the Flashback, Flackback 2, or the 10-in-1 joystick). The reason is simple; they're all different. Six switch woodie, four switch woodie, Darth Vader, and two Atari 2600 Juniors (long and short rainbow, one in the box). Only one (six switch woody) is hooked up.

Sega Genesis (11): As you may have read, for a summer I bought every sub-$5 Sega Genesis I could find. I ended up with about 14 of them. Now I have seven or eight Genny 2's, two Genny model ones (one in the box) and one Genny 3. Two are hooked up; One model II (which has a Multi Game Hunter copier connected) and the model 3 (with a Tototek Flash card).

Dreamcast (5): I still have my original Dreamcast, plus one I bought from a co-worker. Then I bought two from someone online because I was going to mount one in my car (never happened). Recently I picked a fifth one up from a thrift store, a black sports model for $7.50. Only one's hooked up -- the black one.

PSX (6): Two modded ones, a blue dev unit, and three "spares" (ran across them for under $10 each). Only one modded one is hooked up.

NES (5): One's my original one from back in the day, one's my wife's I've picked up the others from here and there for a couple of bucks. My original is hooked up, although usually I end up playing on my Famiclone (not included in the 5).

Nintendo 64 (6): One's my original one, then two came with console copiers that I've bought. Bought one from Kamino before OVGE last year (a green one), and recently picked up two in a trade. Three are hooked up right now, one with a V64, one with a CD64, and one with a Z64.

Gamecube (2): One blue one, one black one. Only the black one is hooked up.

PS2 (2): One launch one, modded (still no DRE's) and another one I recently got in a trade. Only the modded one is hooked up.

SNES (2): One original model, one SNES II. Both are hooked up and have copiers connected to them, a Super Wildcard DX and a Super Pro Fighter.

Commodore 64 (5?) / Apple II (3): I keep buying these as I run across them, putting together complete working systems and whatnot.

So let's hear about your multiple consoles? How and why did you get them, and why haven't you got rid of them yet?

Hm... Multiple consoles... Let me see...

I own three SNES units. One that has had the cartridge slot adjusted so that it can play Japanese games, one that is just a regular US unit, and a boxed, German PAL unit. Cost? Well, they were all free. Given to me by various individuals who know how much I love games, and it is difficult for me to turn down a free gaming item. ^_^

PlayStations, five of them. One retail US, three blue debugging stations, all with unique characteristics; one first-gen that requires a rectangular DC adapter (CIB), the next iteration that takes the normal power plug, one with S-Video out, and a green debugging unit. I have been able to get them by various means, mostly due to the seller having no idea what they were selling (my sweetie says that I just have to bat my eyes... I dunno). I have had them for a while, and honestly, I cannot recall how I managed to get all of them. It is late anyway...

Six Dreamcasts. Two Japanese, the rest are normal US versions. I have not looked into variations in the units yet, so I am not sure what differences, if any are. One of the US units I bought on the day of release (still have the box even), and one of the Japanese units I bought used from a game store in the area. The rest were recently given to me as the person who previously owned them did not see any value in them.

Two 3DO's. One debugging station that I managed to get because it was left behind by an ex-roommate, and one boxed Goldstar unit that I bought from a friend for $20.

Two Xboxes. One purchased on the day of release, and one I purchased later so it could be modded (emulators should be played on a console, anyway! ~hee~), and because one is for the living room, one is for the bedroom.

Two slim PS2's. Both purchased brand new. One for the living room and, well, yeah. You get the idea there.

Two Game Cubes. Ditto. ^_^

Two PSP's. One import, one US. Anxiously awaiting Advent Children. ^_^

Three Saturns. One US bought used from Funcoland back in the day, and one Hi-Saturn, almost complete in box, given to me by someone who had no idea what it was exactly, and one dead US one, CIB. Has a non-factory switch in the back that appears to be utilized for playing imports (anyone interested in working on a dead unit?).

Two Atari Lynxes. Bought for $20 each from a store in the area that somehow managed to get a boat load a few years back. Nice package. Got to choose four sealed games each with it.

Wow you have quite a collection there.

I only have a few multiple consoles.

Atari 5200 (2) Got one free from a coworker when I started to get the itch to collect. But it didn't come with a power supply! Later I found a great deal in the classifieds offering a 5200 and Colecovision and about 30 games! I can't remember the price of the lot though but it was a great deal.

Sega Genesis (2) I traded in my Turbo Grafx for a Sega Genesis. Nothing was happening in the Turbo scene at the time so I wanted to get in on the Genesis party! Can you say Castle of Illusion and Sonic the Hedgehog? See ya Keith Courage! I recently acquired a second Genesis in a yard sale. $10 for a Genesis, Sega CD and about 20 games, some with box and manual! I couldn't pass that deal up.

Sega CD (2) A friend sold me his Sega CD when he bought a Pioneer Laser Active with Sega attachment. This is the tray version of the Sega CD. I later bought another at a yard sale (see above). This second one is the flip top version.

Neo Geo Pocket Color (2) I bought one at a flea market for cheap. Great little system. Afterwards I saw a great deal for a new one/boxed from Amazon.com. I love getting systems with boxes and manuals so I jumped at the deal from Amazon.

I probably won't be getting rid of any of these systems. I'll keep the second ones as back ups in case my main systems die out on me.

5 Magnavox Odysseys - because one came with Percepts, one came with Interplanetary Voyage, one came with all the 1973 games and one came with shooting gallery. Oh, and one came all by itself. 2 of them worked when I got 'em, now 4 of them work and one doesn't work . . . a lot less.

2 Odyssey^2s - an initial one with sealed Quest for the Rings and Conquest of the World. (CotW is still sealed) the second one came with The Voice and a bunch of Japanese Odyssey^2 carts. Weird. The manuals and games are in English, as are the boxes, but there's a sticker on the sides with (I assume) the title of the game in Japanese. But I digress.

2 Atari 2600s - I got one to use a newly acquired Supercharger specifically to use the Stella got a new Brain CD. The second one was given to me.

EDIT: I forgot: Two GBA SPs so my son and I can play Crystal Chronicles together. A color game boy (purple) and an original Game Boy (dedicated to the gameboy camera.)

I have 2 N64s, and 2 Dreamcasts.

I bought one N64, and won the other in a contest here (didn't even know it was the prize! It was a SURprize ;) )

I bought one DC, and Perkar gave me the other one cuz mine wouldn't play a game he gave me.

Ok, there is my list thought I'm not going to say why I have so many of each.

2 PS2's
3 SMS
7 NES including 1 top loader
7 Gennys
15 Atari 2600's
7 PS1s
2 Dreamcasts
5 O^2's
4 Gamegears
6 Gameboys
3 GBA sp's
2 SNES
3 Saturns
2 N64

I'm sure I'm missing something else.

2 2600s - I 4 switch woody $5 flea and a sears heavy sixer - $7 with 15 games.(still need a vader and a jr)
Intellivisons -3 mod 1s (I think one is doa), 1 mod 2 , 1 mod 3. Got the models 1s for free with games from a co worker, got the model 2 for cheap with the vioce module at a local game store , got the model 3 for $25 from a garage sale with some late release games :)
5 NES - 3 toasters - one complete boxed action set , and a couple complete systems I've picked up at the thrifts/fleas over the years. 2 toploaders - 1 my first system back - really got me back into collecting - $55 with alot of extras from a friend , the other I picked cheaply up to get AV modded and haven't had the chance yet. I wasn't sure if this counts as a console - my newest find - my Nes Game Television , got it for $65 with 20 games and 4 controllers (3 of the black!) although it is missing one of the front stability legs.
3 Sega Master - 2 model 1s (1 with snail , 1 HO/SH built in)
I really wanted a snail system (I had it back in the day) so I traded my friend for it , the other is cib I got off the bay. 1 model 2 I got a Ccag from Matt for $30.
2 Snes - 1 regular , 1 new style nothing extra ordinary to report here.
3 Sega Genesis - models 1 ,2 ,3 just wanted all the diffrent versions , got 'em all cheap. I've been playing it quite a bit lately and getting some good finds in the wild for it.
2 N64 - 1 Atomic Purple , 1 Atomic Blue. 1st one was a gift and the 2nd I got at a flea for $5 with 2 cont , expansion pack , carry case, and a few commons.
2 ps1 1 old model , 1 newer. Got 'em real cheap or free from friends. I always used to hate the playstation but it deserves some love for sure.
I guess I'm a little too cheap to buy doubles of current gen consoles , I'd rather wait until they get real cheap.
I really love all my consoles , I don't think I could get rid of them , if I had more than 1 of a certain variation then it becomes trade bait.

I really only use my consoles for playing and I try to get rid of multiples I have. If they work, I mod them if possible and sell forward. If they don't, I take the good bits off and give the casing to someone in need.

I've got 2 Mega Drive IIs, one is loose and hooked up to my Mega CD and the other is boxed and still in all the plastic. (Kekekeke.) I used to have 2 GBCs, but sold my Pokemon edition one because... I guess I kinda grew out of Pokemon. I still play the games occasionally though.

I've also got 2 Sega Saturns. One is a PAL one and the other is a Japanese one with the PAL power supply in it. Poor PAL Saturn is in its box, not getting played.

I've got 2 SNES' as well. One is PAL (sitting in the shed in its box) and the other is an American one (which will come out of its box into my room as soon as Kamino sends me FFIII :-P)

Finally, I have 2 N64s. I used to have 3, actually, but one is back in Sydney, kinda dead. I have a gray one that barely works, is dirty as hell, and dumped in the shed. My purple one is awesome, though! I need a boxed one. <3 purple.

Atari 2600 VCS (7 or more): 6-switch, 4-switch, 4-switch Darth Vader, Jr. short Rainbow when I not wrong & Jr. Black. And some doubles too, not sure which ones. I think another 4-switch and some Jr. maybe.

Super Nintendo (2): I and my borther own one. The second has my brother won by a Super Mario Kart competition.

Mega Drive / Genesis (2): Mega Drive and Nomad.

PlayStation (2): Old big one and PSOne. The first big one has some problems with sound and not work so good anymore, so I have buy the PSOne.

GameBoy (2 or more?): We have buy more because all in our family have played in the past.

GameBoy Advance (2): I and my brother to play together Mario Kart Super Circuit.

GameGear (2 I think): Because some have not work so good.

PS2 (2) - One at launch, and a slim one, which I modded.

Gamecube (2) - Black and Platinum, for no particular reason.

Nintedo 64 (2) - Used to have one at my Dad's so I picked up an extra see through type one, now have both at home.

Atari Jaguar (2)--I bought a second when I found a place selling them dirt cheap, figuring I may as well have a back-up.

Super Nintendo (2)--For the longest time I had just one but I was looking through Ebay foro SNES games and found someone selling a nice one along with some games I was interested in so I bought it. I'd also been thinking about getting an extra one for a back-up.

Nintendo 64 (2)--I got my second in a trade, trading my Dreamcast and games to a fellow gamer for his N64 and games. Later on I got a Dreamcast again.

Sega Dreamcast (2)--As with most of my other extras, I just found a good deal on one and felt it not a bad idea to get a second one as a back-up should my first ever break down.

Sony Playstation (2)--I have one of the older-looking model but then bought the PSOne with the attachable screen so I could take it with me to play when I visit my brother though I've actually yet to do that. But it's nice to have anyway. :)

2 x N64 - One PAL, one NTSC.
2 x Mega Drive - One complete in box, the other just a loose console I can't get rid of.
3 x Mega Drive II - One mint one that came with my Mega CD II, one I use every day (first one I bought) and an Asian PAL model.
2 x NES - One mint unused NES in it's box, and the other out for everyday use (first one I bought).
2 x DC - One is my first DC I bought which is now packed away, and the other I bought because it's 60Hz mode works properly on my TV's and the disc drive is slightly quieter (later model).
2 x SNES - One yellowed, one nice one for everyday use (both boxed though) and one NTSC-J Super Famicom.
2 x Saturn - One model 2 for everyday use and another mint/barely used model 2 that sits in it's box.
2 x Game Gear - One is my original, that died, so I bought another one off eBay, which shortly died, and I cannabalised it's power regulator and made my original work again. So yeah, essentially, one dead - one not.
2 x 32x - One loose (with cables though) and the other complete in box.

3 Pokemon Mini - 1 purple, 1 green, 1 blue

Hmmm.. let's see. Basically.. if I own games for a system.. then I have every model of console released FOR those games (stateside). In other words:

I have BOTH models of the SMS

I have BOTH models of the NES

I have THREE models of the Genesis (4 if you count the X'Eye)

I have BOTH models of ths Sega CD attachment

I DON'T have a CDX.. however.. yet ;)

I have BOTH models of the SNES

I have 4 models of the PSX (3 of them are the "grey" models; but they varie according to hardware and outputs on the back)

I only have 2 models of the CD-i, and I'll probably stop there

I have 3 models of the Saturn (1 JAP)

I have 3 models of the 3DO

I'm looking to get the "slimline" PS2 someday

I only get variations if they are internally or structurally different (mere "color" variations aren't important to me).
As for my TG-16.. all I have is a TurboDuo.

My multiple consoles and why:

Atari 2600, 15+: My favorite console of all time and I compulsively hoard them :embarrassed:. I'm not sure of the exact number, but I've almost got one of each major type: heavy-6, light-6, 6-switch Telegames, 4-switch woody, Darth Vader, Jr short-rainbow, Jr long-rainbow, Sears Video Arcade II and a Coleco Gemini. I'm not sure of the exact count or types on the surplus units. They exist as either backups, trade bait or grist for the Ebay mill.

Atari 5200, 2: 4-port and a 2-port. Bought the 2-port so I could use the 2600 system changer with it. The problem is it's a really weird 2-port in that it is a 4-port board that has had ports 3 and 4 removed so it still doesn't work with the 2600 adapter. I really need to find a straight 2-port machine.

Atari 7800, 2: One regular and one spare. No real reason other than a cheap thrift find on a working second unit.

Colecovision, 2: Same as above.

Intellivision, 2: Same as above.

Virtual Boy, 2: Same as above.

Genesis, 2: Model 1 and 3. Model 1 has all the goodies: Power Base, CD, 32X. Model 3 is convenient for space and travel (you can actually use a Game Gear batter pack to power it).

NES, 5: All donated. Only one doesn't have persistent NES blink issues.

Game Gear, 2: One for play, one strictly for a portable TV.

Gameboy, 3: GBA for me, GBC for my son and a CIB white brick which was a gift from my brother way back in 1994 held onto strictly for sentimentality..

Dreamcast, 2: One was a trade, one I got from the thrift only because it had four extra controllers with VMU's. Just as well because the trade unit frequently has DRE's.

PSX, 3: One of the old models with the mod box in the parallel expansion port, a plain PSX w/o the parallel expansion port which I and a PSOne.

PS2, 4: None of which I received in working order. The first was a thrift find for $10. SCEA actually repaired it free since the warranty was still in place. The next 3 were donated dead units from friends. I've got 2 of them up and working by myself and one is an utter basket case.

Systems I have only one of but wish I had spares: Jaguar w/CD, Lynx, Saturn, Vectrex, Microvision.

Systems I only have one of but don't care about spares: Atari XEGS, Gamecube, Odyssey2, Sega Master System, TG16, SNES, N64, NeoGeo Pocket Color, Socrates.

I used to have multis of each (2 of everything) but this spring I went on a huge "paring down" rampage......and I mean huge. The only duplicate I now have is N64.....one Funtastic Jungle, one Funtastic Fire and one Pikachu Pokemon console.

I have a 2600, 7800 and 3 dreamcasts.

The 7800 is hooked up in my bedroom with my case of expensive\rare atari games as I don't let anyone touch games over an R7 as they are too hard to replace.

The 2600 is hooked up in my lab for testing other hardware with it and games ect..

I got a Dreamcast in My Bedroom, In my living room and my daughter has one hooked up in her room.

the only multiple i have:

(2x) DreamCast: i was at work one day and i found 2 big black cases in the dumpster, i fished them out and popped them open and there was 1 dreamcast, 3rd part RFU, 1st party Controller, and power cord in each case...1 dream cast was fully functional the lens on the seccond was poked out with a pencil (found the lead inside) so i am hunting down a new God [D]amn[/b] rom laser assembly

I tend to just have regional variations of any console I have more than one of. Either that, or if a certain special edition console comes along that has potential to become a future rarity, I get that too.

I have:

Three PS2's ~ One LE RED American spec; One Black Japanese spec; And one Satin Silver PAL spec

Two PStwo's ~ One Silver PAL spec; One Black American spec

Two PS1's ~ Both PAL spec, one of which is a Mk II and the other a Mk III - Used for link up modes, mainly Ultimate & Final Doom deathmatches and head to head C&C Red Alert / Retalliation match's

One PSone ~ With LCD screen

Two DreamCast's ~ One plain boring PAL spec, and one LE Pink Hello Kitty Japanese spec

Two Xbox's ~ One LE Cyrstal Green PAL spec; One LE Crystal Blue Halo II Canadian spec

Two GameCube's ~ On silver PAL spec; One LE Resident Evil PAL spec

Various versions of GBA & GBA SP kicking around

I've got at least 15 VBs counting the displays, probably more like 20 when you count the broken ones that I've used for experiments :) .

Other than that, 2 GBAs because 1 is a display, and 2 Game Gears (I dunno why).

2 PS2 - One Pal, One Jap (Just after a cheap US Machine now)
2 Saturns
3 Dreamcasts
4 PS1s (I think)
Roughly 8 Game Gears
Rougly 8 Game Boys of various incarnations
2 2600s
3 Mega Drives (including a Multimega)
2 Snes (I think)
3 Neo Geo Pocket Color

Think that covers it. I'd like to have spares of my other consoles but there just isn't the room.

Damn, I really would have to guess on this one. I keep good track of carts, but not consoles... :hmm:

my best guess:

6 = Atari 2600
4 = Atari 5200
3 = Atari 7800
3 = Atari Jaguar
10 = Atari Lynx (my pride an joy - just love the Lynx)
3 = Bally Astrocade
5 = ColecoVision (many of these are semi-functional)
4 = Genesis
6 = Intellivision
2 = Nintendo GBA SP
8 = Odyssey2 (have all four versions, plus the secret 5th version that no one knows about.... oops! No, seriously, I've been meaning to investigate this, as I have a model that doesn't fit the known four)
3 = Playstation I
2 = Vectrex

Yeah I got a couple spare systems lying around.

3 saturns
4 NESs (one's a toploader)
2 and a half GBAs (1 normal unit, 1 SP and one DS)
2 SMSs (1 normal model 1 unit and a SMS Girl)
3 PSXs (2 are lemons)

Think that's it atleast.

This seemed like a great topic to bump. I bumped the first post in the thread so everyone will know what the original question was.

PS1 (8): I actively collect the various models of the original Playstation systems. Not nearly as interested in the smaller PSOne units, I like the original models the best. All 8 of mine are complete with one controller and the necessary hook-ups. I received my first one for Christmas from my brother in 2002 or 2003. The 2nd, 3rd and 4th all came from thrift stores in the past 12 months for under $10. The best price I've gotten one for (out of the eight in my collection) was $3 from the Salvation Army, just the unit and power cord but I did have a spare AV cord and controller at home to make it "complete." The 5th unit came from a lawn sale in a huge bundle of games, I picked that one up two months ago. I later resold all but two of the games (it was over 20 "kids" titles) and kept the system. The 6th unit came from a thrift shop. The 7th unit came from a pawn shop in a bundle of games including a rare rpg, for around $15. I later resold the rpg on Ebay, which gave me a profit of $20 for the entire transaction. The most recent unit was found a couple weeks back in another thrift shop. I love collecting these systems for some reason and am thinking about getting one that I looked at in a Buy/Sell thread tonight for a good price but I won't say which thread :D For the record, I don't own a Playstation 2 but even if I did, I would continue to collect cheap PS1's. Can't wait to get over 10 or 15! It is the only video game thing I really "collect" since I would classify myself as a gamer first. It sounds funny but a lot of casual gamers I know (non-collectors) are amazed by my modest collection of PS1 consoles. Then again, these are the types of people who have one of each system and that is it.

Sega Genesis (3): I've got one of each Genesis model. Over the years, a lot of Genesis systems have come in and out of my hands. Too many to even keep track of. Bought and sold so many that it makes my head spin. My current model 1 Genesis was won in a Sega CD bundle which I got at a complete steal. Just wanted the Sega CD unit mostly but it included a bundle with some controllers, spare hook-ups, Genesis games and the Genesis 1 unit. Pretty damn good considering the great price I got it all for. My current model 2 Genesis was purchased off the forums a few months ago from a fellow named Adam, again a great price. My current model 3 was found in a thrift shop a few weeks ago and I am trying to sell it on the Buy/Sell forums. Tested and works great. It was under $10 and came with 4 controllers (two 6-button), an rf cord and ac cord. It just so happened I needed all of those spare parts so I bought the whole damn kitten caboodle. Sure didn't need the console nor do I have a lot of room for it, even with the miniature size.

Game Boy (6): Three original gray Game Boy's, two of which were found in Goodwill. I liked the price. The other has been in my collection for years. One Game Boy Pocket from the same Goodwill, which I am trying to move on the forums here. Two Game Boy Colors, both of which were from your basic pawn shop (two different shops). I only bought two Game Boy Colors so I could fully "finish" the various Pokemon games. Otherwise, I would have been happy with one.

NES (3): Two toaster models, one of which is in great shape and has a like-new 72 pin connector. I bought this from a shop recently for a great price. The other toaster model is a long-time member of my collection and has some blinking issues, it is dusty and needs a new front door. I also have a top-loader, which I've owned for the past 6-7 years. My former girlfriend let me have it for nothing since she owned two.

N64 (3): Three complete units. One was a Christmas present back in 1999, although it has proven to be unreliable from time to time (power supply issues, I think). Another was an Ebay purchase, which I bought earlier this year because I wanted a back-up to that original unit mentioned above. A third one was picked up for me at a lawn sale by my brother. He paid $5 for it at the sale and let me have it for the same price he paid. Not bad since it came with some controllers, the hook-ups and games. A part is missing from the system and I've never tested it but I feel good about having a third N64.

2 Dreamcasts. One Black Sega Sports Edition, one default white.
2 Genesis. First model and Genesis 3. I plan on making the Genesis 3 portable once I aquire a cheap rechargable battery.
2 Saturns. Got an extra one from Goodwill (with about 14 games whee!)
2 Game Gears. One default black, one Lion King Bundle Blue. I plan getting tv out on one of them and maybe make a console type deal.

Sega seems to be big out here in the thrifts.

Two Genesis model 1s. One of which is the system I've had since 1992 (and have since added a region switch) and the other is one I picked up for like three bucks at CGE2K5.

I've also got both a toaster NES and a New Famicom, if that counts. Also a Game Axe but that's probably stretching it a bit too far.

Intellivision (2) - Cuz my first one got ruined. Got my other Intellivision thru collectorscardsandgames.com.
NES (2) - Cuz the cover of my first NES broke up (The flap u open and close). Got another one (almost Mint Condition) for $5 and 2 golf games at a garage sale.
Sega Saturn (2) - Cuz my first Sega Saturn got ruin. Bro got the 2nd one thru a friend.

So yeah, the only reason why I'll get another of the same system is when its messed up.

I'll occasionally end up with multiple consoles, but only for so long as it takes to sell the double.

Usually what will happen is something like this:

Purchase n64 + 5 games for $15 - I'll need three of the games
Sell n64 with the other 2 games for $15

Therefore getting 3 free games - I've ended up with a couple of semi-rare (~R7) games this way too :D

Crazy talk in this forum. Having in excess of 5 consoles is ridiculous. O_O But anyway on to my story.

3 Genesis: Two type 2's which I got along with a few games and controllers for 15 bucks, couldn't really pass it up, and one type 1 which was my first.

2 N64's: My original was used before hand and was not in top working condition, it functions but sometimes it took 3 or 4 tries to get a game to boot. I now have a green one that works perfectly, and got it with all cables box instructions and matching controller plus mario tennis for 10 bucks. Sometimes ebay is amazing.

2 Nes's Got my original at a yard sale, the second was a package of stuff at another yard sale for a great price with everything, and both are in perfect working condition.

-------------------------------------------

Guess that's everything. Not as impressive as some, but recently I would just like to through in I cataloged and entered all my games into a database and discovered that I just recently broke 200 games!

lol please don't laugh at me. I know most of you have more than 200 games for your NES alone but I'm pleased with it.

I have 4 spare mega drive 2 consoles, and 1 spare nes (I used the parts from 2 to make 1 working one)

It just seems the mega drive lots I get off ebay always come with a console.. It's not really worth trying to resell them.. I have given a few away to mates though.

I did have 2 dreamcasts for a while.. but I ended up selling one to get some paypal credit to go towards snatcher.

criminy. ive recently gotten fed up with the volume of my spares, and have been trying to cut the number by about 90. i noticied when i moved i had several non-essential systems, and several that arent different. ive ordered 72 pins to sell of the NES systems i have, but cant get rid of the genesis systems as i cant find rf switches cheaply enough. i may have to give up and just buy some. anyway, my dups and nonessentials are as follows:

20 2600s
3 virtual boys
1 astrocade
6 colecovision
5 intv 1
2 intv 2
19 nes - one topload
6 n64 - 3 NIB, 1 blue, 1 pink
5 snes
4 saturn
7 master sys
16 genny
1 pico
2 32x
1 turbografx
3 ps1, but i bet theyre all non functional. i havent tested them yet, and they were all free

these are accurate for today, as i just counted them all. i recently sold off the extra 3dos and several snes systems, as well as 5 or so nes systems, but i ran out of functional 72 pin replacements.
i was planning on opening a store for a while, but simply cant afford to give up my job and do it. even so, i was really shocked when i started bagging up each system with components when i got ready to sell them. this is IN ADDITION to my personal collection and variants! i remember finding a lot of 'system and games for $10' deals, but i didnt think this many. so here i sit on a basement full of dups, all bagged up and ready for my lazy self to list them for sale. all except the genesis systems, until i decide to spend the money on hookups. i dread checking each of these out, but wouldnt make anywhere near as much if i just sold them in an untested lot.

oh yeah, and i didnt count the 'broken closet', which houses several systems that have some flaw (from inoperable to power light out). *sigh*......

2 x N64 - One PAL, one NTSC.
2 x Mega Drive II - One mint one that came with my Mega CD II, and an Asian PAL model.
2 x NES - One mint unused NES in it's box, and the other out for everyday use (first one I bought).
2 x DC - One is my first DC I bought which is now packed away, and the other I bought because it's 60Hz mode works properly on my TV's and the disc drive is slightly quieter (later model).
4 x SNES - One yellowed, one nice one for everyday use (both boxed though), one NTSC-J Super Famicom and one NTSC-USA SNES.

I also have like, doubles of a system in terms of having one of each model, e.g. I have a PSX and a PSone, an SMS and SMS II.
