Hi. I have been playing the Sega Gensis version of Steel Talons for the last 2 days, and can't figure out how to refuel :embarrassed: . I get the helicopter over the landing pad, and nothing happens O_O . I have looked all over the net for a copy of the instructions, but haven't found one that has it yet. Someone on here much know the answer to this. I will give 100 Meseta to the first person that gives me the way to do this :eek 2:

First off, are you sure you're not confusing Steel Talons with Desert Strike? I'm familiar with both of these games in their Lynx incarnations but I think they're pretty much the same as their Genesis counterparts.
AFAIK there is no refeuling procedure in Steel Talons. On Desert Strike you have to look and see if there are some fuel drums placed on the site. If there are, then positioning of the helicopter over the landing site is a fairly precise matter. Then you wait for your winch hook to drop and grab the drums, once the drums start ascending you can fly away (if only refeul ops really worked like this  ).
Still not sure if we're talking about the same game but I hope that helps somewhat.

It is Steel Talons for the Genesis made by Tengen(it is one of the black color cartridges). The landing pads don't have any drums on them, just a gray pad with a white H on it.
Thanks for the info,
Tony
Here is an auction with one of them: http://cgi.ebay.com/Steel-Talons-Sega-Genesis-Game-Used-LOW_W0QQitemZ8216876401QQcategoryZ62053QQssPageNam eZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

(/pulls as-yet-unplayed boxed copy of Steel Talons for Genesis off the shelf (http://videogamecollectors.com/gallery/The_Pantechnicon/IMG_0079). Removes and reads manual...)
There's nothing in here specifically about refueling :hmm: . To fly lower or descend you need to push down on the D-pad plus the C-button. Up + C will likewise make you ascend. Try hovering, then descending onto a fuel drop and see if that doesn't do the trick.

Thanks! I'll try that this evening,
