He would ignore you. Thats what he does whenever you say anything. He listens to my wife ok, and I think its because her voice is higher. It might be tweaked for kids' voices so I have a really hard time getting the rat to listen to anything I say.

To be fair when i have played the japanese version pikachu has pretty much done everything i have told him to do, albeit with sub par japanese. Im sure when they converted the vrs system to use english they wrecked it.
