Hi guys... new here, got a question for you guys
Been selling on Ebay for a little while, haven't had any problems until now, got an interesting message
Buyer with about 50 feedback, bought a lot of super nintendo games off of me, he has bought systems before, so I would think the person should have some knowledge about games
all games were somewhat cleaned and tested, and everyone one worked. I never sell anything I can't get to work. SNES games and systems are known for their workability
When I sell a lot of games, I sell AS IS, and give no guarantee that what works on my system will work on someone elses, I've bought tons of as is lot auctions and never complained if 1 game out of 30 wouldn't or barely worked, thats the breaks
well, this person writes me and says that 4 of the games do not work, and one he especially wanted to play. Wants me to respond, well here's the interesting part, he already left me positive feedback for it, on the same day he wrote the message, and its been exactly 2 weeks since they were delivered(yep, got my dc number)
Why would someone leave positive feedback, then complain? Plus I'm really not buying it, I've never had a SNES game I couldnt get to work, even ones that were crusted so much I had to sand paper the contacts
anyways, thought I would get your guy's opinion, thanks!

As long as your auction stated the games are "as is" and that you do not accept returns, then I don't see a problem on your end in this transaction.
I agree that Cartridge games should work fine if they worked in your system.

thanks for responding, I decided to write the person and basically say what you did as nicely as possible, also asked them to give them another cleaning and to wait a while when loading each one, some snes games sit there a while before they load up I've noticed. NES games seem to be more fickle from system to system, but I've never had problems with Snes games, plus I test them on a pretty beat up old yellow system, if it works on that, I figure it can work on any
Still kind of perplexed by why you would leave positve feedback on something you werent happy with, but who knows x_x

My thoughts on this is Ninetendo obsessed about putting out quality products. I have a couple of hundred loose snes and nes games in all my searching for games I never never ever seen 4 bad or two for that matter nintendo cartriges in the same batch.
Sleep well at night I would. the cartridge history says user error.
If user had said 1 game was bad I would say ok but 4 please. You would sooner find Gitaroo man,Intelligent Qube,Suikoden2,and a turbo duo on a store shelf at the same time.

Thanks for your response, I'm pretty anal about what I sell, I always clean and test everything I sell, if it doesn't work, I keep the casings for parts and pitch the board, I'm sure a lot of sellers never test anything they sell....
case in point, I ran across a seller who at times would buy up everything he could in a weekend, and pay huge prices, I wondered how this guy made money(of course he charged 5 bucks for postage and also charged 3 dollars extra for each additional)....
recently he had his whole stash up for sale, saying he just didnt have time for it anymore, I think it went relavitely low, which I laughed at, i bet he lost tons of dough. In his description he wrote "90 percent of the games I've come across worked first try without cleaning"....hmmm.... sounds like an admission of guilt there LOL I'm sure he didn't clean or test any of them

just to touch on some of the questions that you find weird
he could of left feedback for you, then tested them. i know that is a backwards way of doing things but it could of happened like that... and to be honest, i think i've done that once myself. LOL
as to why he waited 2 weeks.. some people have busy lives, (even if it only takes a minute to test) i've had games sit on my "need to check" table for weeks on end and sometimes even a month.

I would appologize and replace the games and leave positive f/b. If I could not replace then ask what he wanted. Just my way of handling it even tho you stated "as is" I would want him happy!

When you buy something "as is" you kinda know what you are geting yourself into. But if I could help him out somehow I would.

On eBay a game advertised "as is" usually means that the seller tried for hours to get it to work but failed.
