Provided that Gamerush gets them in, I'll have mine. The sign there says it comes out Sept. 21st. :hmm:

I want to get it, but I'm out of work and flat broke, so no new games for me for a while... probably will end up waiting for it to drop to Greatest Hits.

Plans changed got it.

OMGWTFBBQ Good:
EVERYTHING. Check Traffic Mode is actually more fun than Road Rage!

Eh Bad
The New Crash Mode has that slightly icky "Passing View" feel to it, but once you realize it's more how to nail the target car AS WELL AS causing Millions in damage, than it becomes quite cool.

After 12 Races and 3 Crash Modes, review = \^_^/

I'm not getting it right away, but I plan to get it next month when I'll have more money to burn (pun not intended).

so far revenge is as good as the demo, if not better, and surprisingly, Legends on the PSP is AWESOME... minimal load times, (20-30 seconds) and the game is a nice combo of the first 3 games, well worth it, imo.

A call to them before I went there confirmed what I didn't want to hear: They don't have them. My banter with the BBV person follows:

"Do you have Burnout Revenge for Xbox? I have a preorder for it."
"The release date is September 16th."
"Really? Because all the other game stores have it."
"Nope, we won't have it until the 16th."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes, I am. Everyone else is breaking street date cause this is straight from Xbox. We don't make dates up."
"Well, okay, nevermind."

I want it, but I've barely played Takedown, so I'm waiting till I finish that before I get Revenge

After a bit of haggling, I managed to get my copy from a different Gamerush, one that was not run by imbeciles.

Holy Testicle Tuesday. This game is what I expected and then some. And the new Traffic Check mode is the coolest mode in any racing game, ever. Plus, there's a new Thrice track on the soundtrack. :rocker:

I also snagged the PSP version via some trade-ins, and I'm impressed with it as well. It's like a portable Burnout 3. Since it needs v1.52 firmware, I downloaded a WAB changer to fool the game, and I was off and running. Burnout Legends AND emulation on one PSP? I'm all for it.

Well, you can thank corporate for that. They've cut our total gamer hours down to 24 per week. That's 3 freakin hours a day, so most days we don't even have a game person in the store. In my store, there's me and one other person.

Straight from Xbox though... quality. If you asked anyone in my store about it they'd probably tell you the same thing. As for actually getting it from another Gamerush, that's amazing. My store STILL doesn't have Mario Superstar Baseball for rent, or Day of Reckoning 2, and we JUST got NHL 2k6 for rent and sale on Tuesday. I wonder how long it'll be before we get out Xbox 360s...

snagged it today at work for a cool $45. played through the first 6 or 7 events.... it seems to be a tad harder than burnout 3: takendown, from my first impressions. which isn't necessarily a bad thing, just get some more playtime out of it :)

anyone but me noticed some wierd glitches in some of the levels? like falling through the tracks? big glitches like taht in a big name release bother the hell out of me, expecially when it happens quite a few times

bought it and from what ive played so far i like better than bo3. It feels faster and darker, crash is better cause it isnt so easy, and the "woosh" sound is just pure awesome. Looks better too, and the shortcuts everywhere intertwined in the tracks is extremely cool... the only thing that i dont like better is the new menu system. YUCK!

I could get the Xbox demo to glitch like mad...i only had it glitch once on the retail release..except I keep getting DREs. :(

Past that, I already have 1 - 5 Perfect...level 9 Assassin. :D

I played Burnout 3 on Friday, after at least a month, if not two, away from it. Didn't feel as good. I hope Revenge rekindles my love for the Burnout series.

I've been drooling over the box for this every time I've gone to a game store recently. Most likely it'll end up like killer7, in that I'm willing to pay $50 for it but don't actually have the $50 to spend on it. I still haven't picked up killer7 and it's already down to $30... =| I must get on top of this "finding a job" thing...

Ok, after 5 hours with this game and a perfect in the first two Ranks, I can safely say it was well worth my $45.

It seems to have rectified the difficult issue with Burnout 3 (in that there wasn't much), but after you get used to using the through-traffic to your advantage it becomes easier. I personally find it intensely enjoyable when all 6 racers are headed down the same side of the road and there are just cars flying everywhere. The AI also seems to be harder to takedown and more able to take you down, which is good.

The burning laps are HARD. I've only encountered one that I made gold by more than a second (by 8 seconds at that), most of the other have had the perfect balace of difficulty and frustration forcing absolute perfection to net a gold.

The traffic checking events seem... stupid. I don't know if theres really a point to just blasting into all the cars you can see. Hopefully they'll become more difficult later in the game and actually offer some kind of challenge.

Also, thank god for the Xbox custom soundtrack. If I hear that Bravery song one more fucking time I might plot death on the band.

I just bought Burnout 3 not to long ago...so I'm in no hurry to buy this one. Maybe once it drops down to $20 like Takedown did I'll buy it.

I got it and been playing it and Legends like their was no tomorrow. 28 hours for Revenge, 8 for Legends :-P. I'm loving everything about both but Revenge has totally got me hooked with first trying to progress thru the world tour (34% completed so far), when I play a couple hours and get to a certain % I go straight online...good stuff as I'm a level 10 on there, 43 for race and 48 for crash so far.

I'm not sure about you guys but I believe I'm a traffic checking king, when I'm first in races online I let my rivals know about it  :-P. And love the new feeling to crash mode as it really makes you think about what approach is the best to take to get the gold.

All other modes for me are just the icing on the cake :-P. Don't know about you guys but I believe I'm hooked, love every minute of it :D

Enjoy these games guys because I know I sure am :-P
