According to an article on 1up.com Gears of War is up and running on the final dev kits. But the exciting thing is that it looks slightly better then it did at E3, the frame rate is much better and it's only using 1 core!!!

I'm impressed. I expected those visuals were possible but i didn't think it was on only one core. I'm impressed.

As long as it doesn't play like crap I'm all over it. The pictures sure look great, lets hope the gameplay is just as good.
