The bulk of Volume 2 is *very* obscure to most people in the USA. I'd be suprised if it makes it over here -- I have a sneaking suspicion Volume 1 sold about fifty copies (yes, I bought one).

I bought one too. The Xbox version finally hit $10 at Best Buy, and I got the last one...

I also got it for $10 at Best Buy this weekend, and I'm surprised by just how many games on it I haven't played. I'm hoping they put Chase H.Q. on one of these collections soon. That was a favorite of mine back in the day.

That was a favorite of mine back in the day. There's a two-pack for the Japanese Sega Saturn with Chase HQ and S.C.I. on it -- looks very cool, always wanted one.

Apparently, there is a filter on "t.eh", automatically correcting it to "the".
Then that explains why Capt.'s Romanization struck me as so nonsensical looking. ;-)
Wow. I hadn't even noticed that. LOL
Yeah, it's ta-teh. I just want to set the record straight so I feel like I got something out of ten hours of college level Japanese. :D

According to the Empire forums, Volume 2 will be released in the U.S., it seems though no one's picked it up for U.S. release so far, but so far we have no release date yet.
I copy pasted this onto Shmups.com's forum awhile back (this in turn is from the Empire forums):
From the Empire forums:
Legends 2 will be released in the States - the distributor hasn't been decided yet. Legends 2 is well on schedule, the XBox version just went into pre-certification.
One thing to be aware of though, there will be a few differences between the PS2 and (XBox/PC) versions. This time the PS2 version is being done by the Japanese team that did Memories as they've already done all the work, being Japan though they didn't do an XBox/PC version so we're covering that.
We're making every effort to ensure the games play identically, however the user interface will be radically different between the two and the games lists have a couple of differences. Its probably worth checking both lists before deciding on which one to buy. (or buy both of course Wink )
Patience is a virtue, but I doubt they sneak this game onto us without letting us know. And from what I understand the first Taito Legends didn't do too badly in sales. I too bought the first pack, and absolutely love it to death.

No Kabuki X? Oh well...I'll survive...will probably have to do without this one too... :P

I doubt they would choose not to release something that is so cheap to produce at this point, considering it has already been localized and the licensing is paid for.
However, I am sick of waiting for it, as it makes me nervous, and I really don't want to get stuck paying out the ass for the Saturn versions of E Action Returns and Metal Black.
So does anyone know if the UK XBOX release has region lockout (it seems like the kind of thing where they might not have bothered to add the lockout, seeing as it isn't included 100% of the time like the PS2 lockout.

Is there going to be a US release? If this doesn't get released, it's bloody Sega's fault.
Of course the real Sega has died, so it's actually the maggots infesting Sega's corpse that did this to us, but eh.

Looks like this is finally going to see a U.S. release. Kotaku has the details:

Surely if they are going to release this stateside, they can support more than just PS2. Xbox, at least?

Great news! I heard rumors about a February release, but I guess I can wait until March whenever.
