I think it was discussed that that wasn't going to happen because a few months ago someone stopped shipping them a certain chip that they needed. So, XBox = stays the same.
Well, I'm not going to buy one, but I hope one of my friends does so I can decide how much I like/dislike it.

Well aren't you one lucky son of a bitch. LOL
To be honest i'm kind of dissappointed. November 15th is MS launch day to me. Had it for the box and they had it for live and i was really hoping they'd have it for the 360. Oh well whats another week? Gives me more time to earn money for it.

My birthday is on Nov23rd.
Also sorry if this sounds newb, but if it ships the 22nd, doesnt that mean It will be in stores on the 23rd, or is it different with systems where it will be in on the 22nd in the morning?

The system will be available at midnight on Monday, November 21st at many GameStops, GameCrazies and EB Games.
Yes, I know that technically, Midnight would actually be very, very, very early on Tuesday, but you know what I mean.
Places like Best Buy and Target and Toys R Us, will start selling the system when they open the morning of the 22nd which is a Tuesday. The 22nd was the last possible release day they could go with, to still take advantage of Black Friday. There originally were some rumors that MS was going to launch it on Black Friday, which I felt was about the dumbest thing I'd ever heard.
Launching on Black Friday would be totally retarded, you can't launch on Thanksgiving cause stores are closed, and you don't want to launch the day before Thanksgiving, because you need 2 days to completely sell out the first shipment. So if they were going to launch the week of Thanksgiving, then the only day that would really work would be Tuesday the 22nd. The Super Hardcore will be picking up their systems at midnight on Monday, and the early adopters that didn't get them from a place that opens at midnight will fight the ebay and craigslist profiteers to pick them up early Tuesday.
In major metropolitian areas, it should be completely sold out on Tuesday, but I imagine that in some spots there will be a few units that will be sold Wednesday as well. By late Wednesday, it should be sold out everywhere in the U.S.
Then my guess is that on the morning of Black Friday, stores like Best Buy and Target and Toys R Us, will get a small handfull of more 360's to sell. Like 15 or 10 of them. It will be in all the advertisements in the Thanksgiving newspapers. It will say something like "extremely limited quantities of XBOX 360 will be available on a first come first serve basis ".
Then I would imagine that on the Saturday following Black Friday, you won't be able to find a XBOX 360 anywhere. It will be totally sold out. You won't be able to get one on Sunday, or Monday or Tuesday. In fact, there probably won't be another shipment in the U.S. till maybe even December 1st. The December 1st shipment, will probably be the "true" second wave of 360's for the U.S. This shipment will probably take a whole week or so to sell out.
Then my guess would be that the 3rd and final shipment of XBOX 360's for 2005 would probably be around December 15th. I would expect that this final batch sells out before Xmas day, and then you probably won't see any more 360's on store shelves till mid January 2006.
