SO I'm sure many of us know that Sony was developing a CD add on for the SNES called the "Playstation" or "Super-CD" But what else can you tell us that most of us may not now about it? Is there anyone out there with a prototype unit? Or have you ever seen one yourself in person?

Didn't Philips have a hand in this as well? And isn't that what eventually turned into the CDi?

Yeah, that's how Philips got the rights to produce all those Zelda games for the CDI.

I like it when these type of topics show up, i always end up learning a tiny bit more about the system that never was.
It all goes to show that the snes is the real daddy of modern day gaming, (in a silly little way).. The Playstation 1, 2 and 3 (and not to forget the little sprog..... the psp) are the ba$tard kids of the mighty Snes! lol :D

It got a small mention in the Ultimate History of Video Games [the book] too. That's where I first got to know about it, the SNES PS.
