Imagine this....
You've been put in charge of the casting duties for an upcoming movie project, titled "Halo".
It's directly connected to the video game series as an adaptation of the first game.
Who would YOU cast as the following main characters?
"Master Chief"
"Cortana"
"Captain Jacob Keyes"
"Sgt. Johnson"
"343 Guilty Spark" (voice only)
I'm very interested to hear your responses. ;)
As for my choices, they're as follows:
"Master Chief" - Any actor who has a cool, yet calm sounding voice. No big name actors needed for this role, since the Chief will be in his armor 99.6% of the time, just like Darth Vader in the Star Wars Trilogy.
"Cortana" - You could literally get any shapely female to be a hologram, but I'm aiming at the stunningly beautiful Kristanna Loken to be our beloved UNSC Ship AI Hologram.
"Captain Jacob Keyes" - Kurt Russell. Have you seen him in the movie "Soldier"? Sure, he's along the lines of Master Chief, especially when you can consider that he's about the same age that the Chief would approximately be (if you read the official "Halo" novels), but I feel that he'd do a stellar job at portraying the stern role of Captain Keyes.
"Sgt. Johnson" - Keith David - Yes, I know that he's already done a wonderful job providing the voice of the "Arbiter" in Halo 2, but I think he'd also be great playing the role of the smart mouthing, no-nonsense, cigar chomping badass, Sgt. Johnson. If there's a Halo 2 Movie adaptation, he could also pull double duty as the "Arbiter" AND "Sgt. Johnson". (Hell, if John Rhys Davies can play Gimli and Treebeard in the Lord Of The Rings: Fellowship Of The Ring & The Two Towers, Keith David can pull off performing dual roles too)
"343 Guilty Spark" - I would opt to have the original voice actor, Tim Dadabo, back for this role but if a big name needs to be attached to this little, backstabbing-magnetized-blabbermouth, I would have to opt for someone who has a really arrogant sounding voice. I'd choose Kelsey Grammar to voice 343 Guilty Spark, since he made Frasier seem like a really pompous, self-centered guy when "Frasier" made his first appearances on "Cheers".
So, who would you choose?
