Someone on this site offered me these games for $117.70. i told him i thought his price was insanely too high. then he flipped out and got all mad etc. saying he dont want teenagers to buy his games anyways or some crap. And he claimed he knew they were worth that etc. now im not gonna mention names, because ill be professional about this, but was his price insane or was it actually maybe a good deal? i wanna get a little heads up. heres his games:

all are cart only: games are supposebly mint.

l empereur (gem mint)
romance of the three kingdoms 2 (gem mint)
duck tales 2 (minimal signs of use)
Batman return of the joker (minimal signs of use)
Master chu and the drunken hu
MUscle
spelunker
wwf steel cage
TMNT tournament fighters (has marker on back)

now to me over 60 bucks for this lot sounded like a lot. but i dunno whats ur guys opinions??

I don't think B+S is the right forum for this post, but I wouldn't pay more than $30 for those games.

Yeah, $117 is a TERRIBLE deal for those game. The market value for all for all of those is probabley around $70, and that would be if you resold all of them seperately on Ebay. A lot with those games in it would sell for around $30-50.
In the future you might want to check out the online price guide on this site, or if it is down, check a different guide somewhere else online.

I hate to ask but who come up with a number like 117.7? I 'd on't mean cause it is too high, I mean 117.7? Where did the 70 cents come from? Hell where did the 2.70 come from? What was he thinking? "I don't know, 115 seems low, but 120 seems high"

Staying on topic
Please limit your topics to BUYING, SELLING and TRADING items only. Asking questions of an item's worth, or what is a good price for an item does not really belong here. These types of question should be posted in the Video Game Forum (or Everything eBay if you see it on there), or even go look up the Online Rarity Guide. The only exception to this is an attempt to resolve a deal here (e.g. if people go missing and haven?t been heard from in a while).

Calling someone a "teenager" without knowing the full background of that person is like saying that "what can you know if your thin wallet cannot afford it". :shameful:

Next time just take a dive in eBay and later on the DP Guide (when available) and avoid dangerous comments.

Don't like the price? You have three options:
1) Expose yourself (like you did) to an unnecessary confrontation by telling him/her exactly what you think ("...i told him i thought his price was insanely too high...")
2) Risk yourself to be the jester and be laught at by making a counteroffer that even when you think is fair, for the other will appear as a lowball, or risk yourself to the wrath of the other part when it takes your offer as an insult.
3) Tell him/her "Thanks, but I don't think I can afford it/ found another offer/etc."

Don't say we don't try to help you ;)

Way too much. If there are some games that you want in that lot, Try to buy them seperately, Though i expect him to ask anywhere from $10 to $50...

Tournament Fighters and L'empereur are $25 games.... and some of those games can fetch alot as well, like Duck Tales 2 and such.
Around $100 seems fair, he wanted a little more, which seems reasonable. I don't see what all the kafuffal is about.

Personally this is how i would do it:

l empereur (gem mint) $10 - $15
romance of the three kingdoms 2 (gem mint) $10 - $15
duck tales 2 (minimal signs of use) $10 - $15
Batman return of the joker (minimal signs of use) $5
Master chu and the drunken hu $5
MUscle $5
spelunker $3 - $5
wwf steel cage $5
TMNT tournament fighters (has marker on back) $10 - $15, would be more but marker (blech)

TOTAL - $63 - $95

I'd say since theyre being sold together $70 - $80 would be around right, before factoring shipping. :)

I actually ended up buying half of those games from the seller. He was quite reasonable with his pricing.
