But this game is fun, I actually don't mind playing the same songs over and over again trying to get a better score or more coins. Am thinking about DK2 already. Its something fresh and new to me. Anyone else just discover this gem, or has already and likes it?

I actually got this game the day it released, and was really surprised at how fun it is. I played it for about a month or so until I unlocked everything and got a gold on every song. Its a pretty damn good game though.

Tip: Don't actually clap when you are cued, but rather hit the side of the bongo.

AHH! I do that too or if it's a really long note I yell into the mic.

I love the game. It's a gimmick but it's a great one. I have also been thinking about getting DK2, but I don't really like the songs on the second game.

I just played a bit of the original last night. :D

Definately a fun game. I would also highly recommend Jungle Beat, as it's so insane and fun, you'd seriously think that Nintendo was pumping vast amounts of drugs into the development team.

Donkey Konga 2 was a bit disappointing for me, but maybe that was because of the US song list, which included absolutely no Nintendo songs. If you can pick it up cheap though, go for it. I think Best Buy dropped the price to $20.

Sadly, none of the Konga games have done that great here in sales, so you may need to import the Japanese version of Donkey Konga 3 to complete the trilogy, but for some reason you'll need to fully modify your cube in order to save your progress. But it does have an entire section of songs dedicated to classic NES tunes, which I know a lot of people here would dig.

Pfft! LAME! LOL Seriously, clapping is much better (because it's silly, which is the point!) and easier. :)

Also: If you think DKonga is awesome (it is), get this: Donkey Kong Jungle Beat blows it out of the water.
