Okay, this isn't exactly brand new news, it was announced at the TGS, but since there is no topic on it, I thought I'd start one up. In addition to the origional Metal Slug being ported to the GBA, Metal Slug 2, X, and 3 will also be arriving on the aging Nintendo portable. Source:

Famitsu's website also had a listing of this a couple days ago but I could only rely on rumors since I can't read Japanese. So what are peoples thoughts on this? I have mixed vies on it myself. Having these Slugs portable is great, but I can't help but feel that the animation will take a huge hit. Looking back at the past 2 KoF EX fighters and Metal Slug Advance, it seems to me that Playmore doesn't have a good feel for the hardware. I hope they can prove us wrong with their upcoming releases. Also, 1, X, and 3 already have decent-good ports on home consoles (affordable ones!) as it is.

That's nice and all, but I want to know if Battle Colosseum and Sam Sho Tenka have US release dates for PS2.
I mean, I'll get the shit to import them if I have to, but I'd rather not. The sam sho addict in me wants to play Tenka, though, and people who've played BC say it's one of the best fighters of the past 5 years.

Daaaamn!
I am beyond stoked to get the Metal Slug games on the GBA. I'll be all over these when they come out, domestic or otherwise.

Nice if you want MS on the go.
Still i can play them any time on my, MVS so those ports have little interest for me.
Beside i'm waiting to see if SS Tenka get's a port.

At TGS, SNK said both Tenka and Neogeo Battle Colosseum will come out on Japanese PS2 in the winter.
That doesn't help us over here though.

Why? Why can't the PS2 just have a simple boot disc?

Because Sony hates us, of course.
