EDIT: See page 2 of this thread for screenshots of the games. :)
I saw these 'pirated' NES games listed somewhere and wondered if they are unique games or just another pirated copy of some game with a different name. Does anyone know? They all have the Gluk Video logo on them, kinda reminds me of all the HKGC pirated cartridges :)

I don't own them, so I don't have any screenshots - that's why I'm asking here :) I saw them listed on a Spanish website, so my guess is they originate from Spain.

HOLY CRAP! I saw one of these carts about seven years ago at some kind of electronics swap meet thing from a Mexican seller (and I don't mean that in the generic racist sense, I mean that he was actually from Mexico, so calm down Sothy). This was before I really cared about this stuff, so I didn't buy it. I was always wondering if I'd see one again, and there they are.
Like someone said, there's no way of knowing without buying them and seeing. If you're not willing to, I'll do it for you.

Never seen any of those. They don't look like typical pirate cartridges. There's a fair chance that thi sare original games.
Anybody owns one of these carts?

Interesting.. has someone duplicate the caltron cart, or has caltron paid this company to make the compilation for them? (the same way AVE paid Sachen for Pyramid!)

What's also interesting is that the War in the Gulf label of yours, jajaja, has the code CN-07 on it - and Caltron has the code CN-11 on it :)
I've decided to buy the games...I'll let you guys know which exact games are on them as soon as they are in my possession (I agree that it's safe to assume that the fourth cartridge listed will have Bookyman from Mega Soft on it).
Thanks for all the input so far!
EDIT: By the way, I've seen quite a few pirated games and multicarts with that cartridge, so I think that Caltron just purchased the cartridges from NTDEC to use for the 6-in-1.

Great find! All Mega Soft games were released in famicom format by NTDEC, but yours are 72 pins carts :? Here is a pic of the box of War in the Gulf (famicom). As you can see, the game is made my Mega Soft and released by NTDEC.
http://www.er.uqam.ca/merlin/ef491443/other/wargulfbox.jpg
The cases of your games are exactly like Caltrons. I have a pic of a 15 in 1 pirate cart with a Caltron case and a NTDEC logo on the back.
http://www.er.uqam.ca/merlin/ef491443/other/15in1back.jpg
I think NTDEC is the company behind Caltron. All games on Caltron 6 in 1 were made by Mega Soft and released by NTDEC. The code CN-01 can be found on the famicom Fighting Hero carts and CN-07 on famicom War in the Gulf carts (Caltron is CN-11). I also found a pic of a famicom Fighting Hero 3 cart (CN-19) with a NTDEC logo.
http://www.er.uqam.ca/merlin/ef491443/other/fightinghero3.jpg
Also a while ago, I found this article on the Internet:
Such arrangement can be found in Nintendo of America, Inc. vs. NTDEC case for copyright infringement and trademark damages (Sun, 1998). The accused infringers are NTDEC, Nintendo Electronic Co. (located in Taiwan), Mega Soft Inc. (a California company served as a front for the defendants) and four other individuals (all citizens of Taiwan). The defendants openly acknowledged that they had knowingly sold counterfeit Nintendo video game cartridge to the United States and elsewhere from at least as early as 1990 and they knew their action were illegal. Nintendo Co. Ltd. of Japan used to seek Taiwan's enforcement of its rights, but since Japan has only a limited reciprocal arrangement with Taiwan, it only filed the claim through its subsidiary, Nintendo of America, Inc. which locates in the United States. In the default judgment, the district court held the defendants liable both jointly and severally and awarded Nintendo of America Inc. more than US$24 million in damages and US$109,000 for attorney fees.
Maybe you found 4 original unlicensed games because I never heard of the 3 first titles. I'd really like to have more info on this when you receive the carts.

Hi everyone,
thanks for all of your interest & thanks for the info jbholio!
I just received the four cartridges today, and it definitely seems that three of the games are original titles that haven’t been documented yet. I assume that “Gluk Video” simply published/distributed these in Spanish regions in a manner similar to how Myriad Games distributed Caltron’s 6-in-1 (slapping a label on top of the old one). The covered label on two of the cartridges seems to be the original label as they both display the correct game title as well as the CN code. Here is some info on the games:
Label title - Game title - Copyright info titlescreen - CN code on original label (underneath Gluk Video label)
Booky Man – Bookyman - NTDEC 1991
Corre Benny - Go! Benny! – NTDEC 1992
La Gran Aventura Submarina - Sea Dreamland – Mega Soft 1992 – CN-15
Skate Boy – Skate Boy - Caltron Ind. Inc. 1992 – CN-18
As for the games themselves, I haven’t had much time to play them yet, but here is a quick overview:
Skate Boy: similar to Skate or Die 2 but much more fast-paced; horizontal scroller where you have to jump over/avoid obstacles or throw frisbees at them.
Sea Dreamland: horizontal shooter in an underwater setting, where you fire at various fish.
Go! Benny!: again a horizontal shooter, this time airborne.
Bookyman: same game as on the Caltron/Myriad 6-in-1. Perhaps an earlier release as this one is dated 1991 on the title screen and the Caltron version is dated 1992.
I will take some screenshots of the games as soon as possible – most likely towards the end of the week, though, as I’m under a lot of time pressure at the moment.
If anyone wants any other info on the games, let me know. :)

WOW! I have never heard of these 3 games until now X_x . Are the games in english? Is Gluk Video the publisher? I would really like to see some screenshots. Would you mind if I add the pics of your carts to the unlicensed section of my site (http://www.er.uqam.ca/merlin/fd491499/nintendo/nes/). If you have any other info about these, I'd like to know :D .

Eventho if these carts are legit I dont think they will be worth much like Caltron and Myriad. But still cool to have for your own collection tho. It would also be cool to get confirmed if they really are legit or bootleg.

First of all, great site! I've checked it out quite a bit in the past, just to see what's out there & for comparing title screens :) As for your questions...yes, the games are in English. I'm not sure if Gluk Video is the publisher, but I would assume that they purchased these cartridges perhaps from NTDEC/Caltron themselves and then slapped their label on the carts, given the fact that there are original labels underneath two of the Gluk Video labels. On the other hand, none of these cartridges have a label on the back, and they are also missing the NTDEC logo engraving, even though the flattened area for the logo is still there.
Concerning the pictures, I got those from the shop that I bought the games from. I can scan the cartridges for you, if you want. I'll see if I can do it later tonight or tomorrow.
As for screenshots, I'll take some in a few minutes. :)

Well, the fact that they are in the same casing as Caltron games and two of them seem to have an original label underneath with the original game title & CN-## code makes me believe that they are more legit than bootleg. Then again, there's no way to verify this, at least not yet. We'll have to live off speculation for the time being ;)

I'm 99% sure these are not bootleg games. Speedy_NES, if you have time, I'd like to have better scans of your 4 games. Send them to jbholio@hotmail.com
About the date on your Booky Man title screen. I have a Magic Carpet cart (with a Mega Soft copyright) and the date is 1991. I guess all games on the Caltron 6 in 1 were made in 1991 but Caltron only released the 6 in 1 in 1992.

Yeah, that makes sense. I wonder if all of the games on the Caltron 6-in-1 games were released on individual cartridges prior to the release of the 6-in-1...and if the CN-## is sequential, there are a lot of #'s that are unaccounted for ;)

Does anyone know how to open these cartridges (should be the same as Caltron 6-in-1 cartridge)? Despite removing all of the screws, I can't seem to open them as the front and back are still stuck towards the top of the cartridge. Speedy, I added your carts to my site. I decided to put Mega Soft as the developer since the games seem to be all made by the same company (Mega Soft / NTDEC / Caltron). I'm not knocking the legitmacy of Speedy's claim I will just state what the owner of the website where he bought these games from has told me. The owner of the website says they are clones, I have purchased them myself and they should be arriving soon. You may be asking yourselves how do I know its the same website? The web site I visited was based out of Spain and had the same photos of the games he first presented. In my personal opinion i do belive to be real and i think the owner of the store is confused. That said I am wonderign why he has more?

That's interesting, I assumed that mine were the only copies as the cartridges and labels are identical to those shown on the website. I just checked his website again, and these games are now no longer available, so maybe he only had two copies of each game (or more, if anyone else has been buying them lately ;)). When you receive your games, could you make a picture/scan them? I'm curious to see how your labels will compare to mine, and whether any of them will also have another label underneath. I also assume that the seller considered these games as clones based on the cartridge and label not being licensed/from Nintendo.
