I'd have a heart attack if I were able to play the Konami X-Men game or Taito's Superman on a console.

Any you want that have never came to be?

Alien Vs. Predator & The Simpsons come to mind.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles by itself, not with the newer TMNT games.

the Spikeout series comes to mind. I'm glad they made Battle Street for the Xbox, but I really wish they had ported over some of the other Spikeout games. Hell, Slashout on Dreamcast would have been nice.

Violent Storm, the one Konami brawler I can stomach, should have gotten a home port. It was such a radical step up from its predecessors and from pretty much the rest of Konami's brawler lineup.

A few beat-em ups I wouldn't mind seeing ported over to home systems.

The Simpsons
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Battletoads: The Arcade game
Alien vs Predator

We've got a cabinet over at my friend's house and, trust me, it didn't age well. You beat it once, and you don't really want to play anymore.

every damn one. i makes me sad when i realize that most of the arcade only BEUs are going to stay that way, either from defunct companies or lazy compilation makers.

Konami & Capcom need to get together and make an arcade beat 'em up collection. There are just too many to list.

Captain America and the Avengers! The Super Nintendo version was so disappointing. And of course X-Men and the Simpsons. I hate it when they do such bad ports of arcade games to consoles.

Here's another vote for The Simpsons. Why Konami hasn't gone and done a BEU compilation is beyond me. Maybe there's some strange deal with all the licensing that's involved.

there was an amiga or c64 "port" of the simpsons arcade. WHY WHY WTF!?!?! that's like trying to shove ff7 onto a tiger handheld. i don't see why they didn't make a better attempt on something like the snes. bleh.

Tron 2.0

The Simpsons
X-Men
AvsP
The Punsiher

Still those are lincense games and i doubt, Konami&Capcom want to "spend money" to use these in a collection.

The TMNT coin-op has already been ported to the NES, complete with an extra level or two. Granted, the NES version of that game wasn't nearly as fun to play thanks to its wattered-down attack system.

Arcade Beat-em ups that I always wanted to play on my NES / Genny back in the day:

The Simpsns (Konami)

Dungeons & Dragons: Tower of Doom (Capcom)

Dungeons & Dragons: Shadow over Mystara (Capcom)

Alien vs. Predator (Capcom)

X-Men (Konami)

Spider-Man (Sega)

Superman (Taito)

and, in particular....

Golden Axe: Revenge of Death Adder (Sega)!

Wasn't this already on the saturn or the dreamcast IIRC some collection? Might be JPN only memory is a bit fuzzy?

I'm like 97% sure

But I know for sure GA The Fighter was on the saturn, oh wait you mean't GA2 oh then no sorry.

No mention of DJ Boy?

But, yeah. What others have said. Especially Revenge of the Death Adder. That game is sweet.

This post brought to you by the letters "M", "D", "C" and "C".

Any of the old Konami titles would be nice. I would probably not play them myself but would buy a compilation as such for my kids. I can easily envision them, along with their friends, all clustered around the Gamecube playing TMNT. I've actually got that on my MAME cab, but it only supports two players. Four player BEU's on the Cube would be perfect. Keep the little buggers occupied for hours.

I would have loved:

Undercover Cops
Arabian Fight

I remember back in the early to mid 90's, they announced a port of Undercover Cops for the SNES. My friends and I were quite excited to hear that news.....and then it was cancelled.

I love that quirky game. LOL

took me over a year to find a cheap copy of undercover cops on ebay. finally located one, spent $32 shipped. the game pops up every couple of months for about $80-110 complete depending on how crisp the box and manual are. i just got the cart and an ok manual, but that's more than enough to satisfy me.

I would be happy with an arcade perfect (uncensored) port of Captain Commando - that's my personal all-time favorite brawler. The SNES version just isn't the same.

It was released for playstation in Japan, real tough to find though.

I second Golden Axe Revenge of Death Adder, that was in my opinion the pinacle of arcade beat 'em ups. I'd also like to see King of Dragons, the SNES one was ok, but the arcade was much bettter.

X-men is really overated, it was just cool because of the giant screen. Not a bad game just really generic and repetitive (even for a beat 'em up).

Yeah beat em ups like that are really good the first few plays but after the 3rd time it makes me ZZZ (eg simpsons, metamorphic force, xmen, TMNT etc etc) It's funny but with Konami's new 3d TMNT games it's as if they sucked all the fun out of them and made them look all pretty..... but they still stink 1 was okay IIRC but they just got worse and worse with each installment.

I really hope Konami can finally get it right with Crime Life Gangwars, I hoping it'll be like a 3d Vendetta / Crime Fighters etc Well you never know?

DJ Boy was ported to the Genesis, although it was censored rather heavily.

Ackman: No, I did not mean Golden Axe 2; I meant what I said (Golden Axe: Revenge of Death Adder)

Sorry Ed yes I got mixed up but GA2 for genny is still nice although it isn't quite as spectacular as the Arcade version.... really nice looking game such detailed artwork and stuff...

loved the easy damaging combo element.... quite a dramatic game too I had the joy of playing it 4 player once...... That farmer character kinda sucked I never quite understood him?

And why did they take the dragons out :( For some reason I like Golden Axe 1 Arcade more It just has that certain something....but both are great games.

If you really want you can play the GA Fighter game on the saturn is what I meant to say.

Mod your Xbox and you can play all of these on your TV, complete with 4-player compatibility and all. It's truly the bees' knees.

GA2 doesn't work properly in that program... I saw screenies it's terrible, maybe someday :( I think if sega released a 4 player GA1 it would be better.

MAME still doesn't support Golden Axe: revenge of Death Adder...

(although a few non-MAME arcade emulators do)
